Anti-piracy...?
Ok... well, since your more concerned with your little website about PIRACY being shutdown for just that... you didn't answer my question. So now I have a new question... how can a website that is about emulation not allow talk about piracy on their forums? I think emulation is a form of piracy... |

Issue is, emulation is legal. However, willingly helping people who pirate could be negatively viewed. Don't ask, don't tell, at the very least. It's not really like we care if people's games are obtained from either shops or through stealing discs from the local nerd geeks. |

Emulators let you play pirated games. I don't think anyone would try to deny that. But is that what they are meant for? No. This is your logic in an analogy: Cars are all about violence. Why? They make it really easy to kill people! Just head downtown, drive on to the sidewalk where all the crowds are, and bam, you're an automatic mass murderer. This thing is more effective than a shotgun! Only one problem here...that's COMPLETELY not what a car is meant for. It's meant to provide transportation, and ideally you shouldn't be running into anything. You're really misusing a car if you decide to run people over with it. And that relates back to emulation. Sure, you can play pirated games on emulators. But you're missing the point of what they're intended for. Here's a really radical thought, so brace yourself before you read it: have you ever tried buying a game? I can show you my shelf of Playstation games if you need proof that people actually do buy these things to emulate. There are plenty of guides on how to make your own ISO's out of games you have, which is easier, faster, and more reliable than downloading games anyway.
