Will Fraps work with epsxe 1.7?

I've tried recording with FRAPS with 1.6 and couldn't get it to work. Does anyone know if it will work with 1.7 and if so how can I set it up so it will?

uh, it doesnt really need anything specific for it to work.

What kind of issue did you encounter? Which plugins/settings were you using? Fullscreen, I suppose?

fraps has nothing to do with epsxe. It doesnt matter which version you use...(maybe which plugin). Wrong section >_<

Well, whenever I press F9 to record....nothing records. The sound only gets a little lower making it seem like its recording.

-I'm using Pete's D3D Driver 1.76
-Window mode 480x360
-and pretty much all of the default settings

HyperCam works good you say? How is the playback quality?

BTW, HCR if you do have a way to use FRAPS though we'd greatly appreciate it

Quality is full customizable, the higher you set, the higher it demands,
good for getting/making tutorials not high quality.

I personally prefer using a game session recorder (DarkMan's GPU Recorder gpu plugin, more exactly) at normal resolutions during gameplay, then reuse the replay saved for recording it at either insane resolutions or maxed out filtering later (for gameplay videos).
I posted a couple pointers about how I used to do it, in an old thread about the topic.

Great Thanx! I'll try this now! Will those particular settings slow down epsxe significantly?

And how to convert from Darkman's file format to Avi or so, while the format the GPU recorder records with/in is only readable with another tool (darkMan GPU player..)created also by Darkman

Fraps does work with 1.7.0. It also works with 1.6.0. I've recorded many videos with Fraps (mostly on 1.6.0), but I've tried with 1.7.0 and it worked, too.

the reason fraps is not working for ePSXe is because you have to use the right graphics plugin for ePSXe which is Pete's OpenGL2
