Free or open source knowledge base systems?
Our company at work has been making txt files for years for tips and tricks kinda articles. We store all those in a single folder so it gets quite hard to try and find something again when you need it.... I was wondering if any of you know of a good Knowledge Base software that we could use. Something you've tried before and liked. I'd rather it be free since it's something I want to start on my own first. Also, it really needs to be all web based. Cheers

We have a built-in KB (public and private) for the CRMS system we use, Info@Hand. In the past, I have used (and still somewhat use) SmarterTicket, which has now become SmarterTrack. I have no idea what the new stuff is like, but you should be able to get a single-user version of the software for free. Free Edition, Customer Service Software, SmarterTrack 3.x - SmarterTools

I think you'd better use some database software. A openoffice2 maybe suitable.
