Never had this issue before.

Hi, I just upgraded my epsxe, and now I get a black screen and a white box in the upper right corner and a picture of a controller with the words "standard".
Nothing loads.
TIA if anyone can help.

Any of them just stay at a black screen.

Try updating graphics drivers, or using other plugins.

CDRSapu and CDRXeven are not supported in 1.7.0 at this time.

I am having the same problem- loading ISOs from both Daemon-Tools or straight in the emulators run ISO setting. Using pete's newest GPU/CDR plugins.

Any help appreciated.

An ISO issue maybe, the problem I had is with 2 cds I re burned without sub channel, the rest run fine. The ISO's, the real Play station cd's I created them from, the whole shabang.
Run is pSX and see if you get an ISO 16690 error or something similar.
Their might be the culprit.
