Question running pcsx2 on laptop?

Hi, sry for asking a newbie question...
but I was wondering if sorta weak laptops, like ASUS F8SN-B1, are able to run pcsx2 at a playable speed?... I won't have a tv or a desktop in my dorm room
also I would like to play games like ffx and kh

Well, for FFX and KH and latest plugins and beta (not allowed to ask help about them in the PCSX2 forum though), it should be all right. Don't expect full speeds throughout though, the 9500M GS is just a rebranded 8600M GS. Expect slow gameplay.

Yeah. Anything below 50fps or 40fps (NTSC and PAL respectively) feels like the characters are moving slower then they should be.

i'd say a "weak" laptop won't be able to run games at full speed.

even the strong laptops have trouble running games at fullspeed.

ffx is a game that runs pretty fast in PCSX2, but you still need a pretty powerful system to get fullspeed in it.

i'd say to get playable speeds you'd want at least a C2D at 2.6ghz.

that dosn't mean full speed all the time, but good enough to play the game.

Solution: get a PS2 slim and get a USB TV tuner that has RCA inputs.

meh...buying another ps2
can you point me to some specific tv tuners i can look at?
i heard something about some tuners causing like a 1/2 second delay response
