Linux

epsxe isn't compatible with Linux, is it? I'm almost positive it doesn't. I wanna know who thinks it should be made compatible, I mean Microsoft sucks!!! I know I use it, but that's just for compatability (I don't fully trust the gooey). Windows wastes so much and is so sloppy. Linux can make an old outdated system work great. It runs circles around Windows. The world would be a much better place if more things were Linux compatible.

I think a bunch of people would like to see it on linux but thats up to the epsxe crew. a lot of video and sound cards do not have official linux drivers plus the linux community isn't that large.

I know it's up to the epsxe crew, which is why I'm posting, I want to try to start a push for Linux compatibility. btw, the number of Linux users is growing every day, as people are starting to realize that it's time to stop Microsoft's tyranny (go to ne college and mension the word "Linux" and ears will perk up all over the place).

One question I have is, how would 3D acceleration work in Linux? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Linux (like Windows NT) designed to prevent programs from directly accessing hardware? I don't know much about how the Linux kernel handles that...

well loki games has figured out how to make linux games so we know its possible. looks like fpse is working on their linux port but you never know what the fpse guys are going to do.

the only guys who seem to be reliable are the plugin developers and most of them surf this board which is a good thing for us.
