Half Screen

Hi ^-^

I'm trying to play the Millenium Falcon Arc Berserk game but I have some problems:

with GSdx9 0.10(I downloaded 0.10.2 but it still displays as 0.10.0) I can get in the menus but the movies don't display at all so I only hear sound. ingame only the upper half of the screen works ^^ I suspect that this is because the computer has 2 video cards. Does somebody know how to fix that? in both pcsx2.exe and pcsxt2 it's the same

ZeroGS Kosmos no sse2 is slower, displays the movies but the screen stays black without sound at the part where normally I'd be able to play ingame. if I use pcsxt2 it crashes at that point instead of just staying black.

ZeroGS Kosmos 0.97.0 gets ingame to the part you have to select yes or no and read tutorial info but when the real game starts it crashes.

OpenGL runs too slow(Gsdx gets around 60 fps ingame while open gl gets 5 in the menus so I quit before waiting past all the intro movies). in pcsxt mode it doesn't even start ^^

Computer:
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU
Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz
3.25GB RAM(it's supposed to be 4 but I guess 1 might be broken :P)
ATI Radeon HD 3800 512 MB(2x this video card)

at first I couldn't walk ingame but that was because I couldn't configure the lxrxlyry controls with the standard plugin but I searched around and found a new plugin which worked

the first time trying the emulator the site was down so I played around with all the options and got the game running, when the site came back online I got a basic grasp of what some of the options were :P I couldn't find anything about having 2 video cards at the same time so I made this post ^-^

No, problem with graphic is not caused by 2 GPUs <PCSX2 make use of only one btw>. Try the game with latest GSDX <1.7>.

Thanks ^-^ I downloaded that and the 2 dx files in the link, now I have full screen. now I just need to fine tune the settings ^^

Ok, the game is working now between 45 and 60 fps which is Super! ^-^

I only have 4 small problems left:
- I can't see the movies
- you can see lines that connect the body parts of the enemies
- the screen tilts a bit up and down at a low frequency
- there are some pink squares near the edges of the screen, maybe they're part of the hud or something

anyways the game is running at a godly speed compared to my own amd 2800 and smashing up the snowmen is fun ^^ If anyone can help me with these last problems it'd be great ^-^

It's normal for some movies not to work. Grpahical errors are to be expected, and the pink squares might be graphical glitches too. Basically, if you follow the guide in my signature, you'll have set it up correctly.

Thanks ^-^ I tried your setup, it fixed the graphical lines that were visible on the enemies but the screen started flickering instead :P

I returned the settings to how I had them before:

Cpu: Multi threaded GS + Dual Core, frame limiting normal
Graphics:
GSdx SSE3 0.1.7
windowed(I maximize it afterwards so I can see fps/cpu%/time in the taskbar
Pixel shader 3
no interlace(I turn it on during the unskippable first few non ingame movies to stop them from moving up and down, ingame and in the menus I have it off)
D3D internal res = 1024x1024(standard)
texture filtering and aplha correction on

first controller: lilypad

rest is default

main problems are
- no movies
- no hud(that's what the pink areas are XD(mini map is the only thing that works from the hud, boss hp, own hp and berserker gauge could be handy :P

I had the same problem as the OP. I went and grabbed the gsdx 1.8 plugin, updated DX9, and it fixed the half screen problem that the OP mentioned. However, like him I get no hud items, every hude item is just a pink splotch.

I tried multiple versions of gsdx, including much older ones of the gsdx9 variety but newer than the one that came with the pcdx2_0.9.4 release. One of them I tried changed the pink splotches to white but that was about it.

Also as the OP stated there are no working movies, rendered, or drawn. Thats totally secondary to the missing hud though of course.

It sucks because the game itself runs brilliantly fast, I just can't see how much health bosses, or I have.

Any updated ideas or fixes?

If you can compile GSDX 1.9svn. I would give that a go. By the way don't ask how to compile. 5 words to help you: June DirectX, tortoisesvn, MVC++ 2008
