@Phil: Its in my public profile using a GeForce 9600GT stock clocks, paired with an X2 4000+ CPU and 2GB ram

@Noja87: Since i don't have the XboX360/PS3 ones i don't know but looking at other gaming sites, seems some mini game missions are added when doing investigations. IN terms of porting, i can say that this is well ported vs. their previous ones naming RE4 and DMC3 as it seems to include all the graphical features from the ones from consoles. There are even some settings that lets you tweak graphical options depending on your computer capabilities and an in game AA control. However, some users are still having crashes in the game, not in my case though. The only time it crash is when i enabled in game AA to max level, looking at the statistics, most users also experience this bug when AA is enabled.
One annoying thing, exiting the game is very annoying!! you need to confirm at least 8-10 message and some loading screens only to exit to desktop lol. Good thing ALT+F4 does it in a flash...
(hope ubisoft do sumthin about this along with the crashes)

@Samor:Runs OK in my case
Athlon64 X2 4000+ Brisbane @ 2.1Ghz OC to 2.3Ghz
2GB Dual Channel Ram
nVidia GeForce 9600GT 512MB GDDR3 256bit @stock clocks

Ive noticed that the game actually eats a lot of CPU resources, i see ~100% CPU usage on both cores when running the game (at max settings), and somehow it seems to limit the performance of my card. Somehow i was able to confirm this with some user who upgraded his cpu to a faster one. One experiment i also did is enabling AA and AF. It seems that there was a very small or no impact in performance when both AA and AF (in my screenshots) were enabled since im already CPU limited.

Looks like Ubisoft's system requirements for the game really is true (having a good dual core CPU)

is there a directors cut?
the game has been out for only 3 days and there is a DC already ??
i have the original one and it plays flawlessly on 1280*1024 and 1X multi sampling

but wow a dual core processor is the minimum requirement , jesus christ this is a heavy game

so yet again DX10 doesnt shine, just eat performance?

the only difference i can see is the dx9 version is darker, which can be pretty much rectified by raising the brightness.

The benchmarks show that AC runs faster on DX10 than DX9, i've never tried it myself.

Not really, it's faster in some cases and when running under Vista, but at the same time the DX9 mode in XP is just as fast as DX10. But well, things are looking up. Things can only get better.

Anyway, most problems are related due to warez anyway, I've heard nothing but good things from people who have a legit copy. But what's with this AA1x? Don't you need 2 samples before you can actually blend pixels to create the effect?

Also a warning for those who don't meet the minimum requirements: I've seen screenshots of Athlon 64 owners who weren't able to start the game because of this.

afaik the new illegal copies dont have any problems, the original ones used a demo exe so they crashed by the time you reached jerusalem.

Im just on the bit after jerusalem atm, tis an awsome game.

Some people have had problems due to nvidia drivers, tho im using the 174.74 drivers and theyve been fantastic.

The crash on jerusalem was because the jerusalem files on that version were filled with zeros.

Meh, I still got to build myself a new PC before I'm able to enjoy these new games at a decent speed.

Nothing better than playing Bioshock at 3 - 8 FPS and Crysis @ 1 - 3 FPS.

I'll probably pick this game up anyways when I get the money to add to my collection for when I build my new PC.

I still got to pick up Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 3, Quake Wars and other games I can not remember atm..

Nevertheless this game looks fantastic and according the benchmarks it seems to run ok on a decent rig with at least an 7800 or 8xxx series of nvidia cards or better.

I plan on getting both this and Mass Effect.

well im maxed out on all the settings, in 1680x1050, the only time i notice anything odd is when i go to one of the view points (that thing in vipers last pic) and you see it spinning round i get frame tearing, but i think thats due to having vsync disabled rather than slowness, its still silky smooth.

the game is defo worth buying if you like the PoP type games and nice pretty landscapes!

Prince of Persia style games, definitely. I loved the POP series such as Sands of Time, I still haven't finished Warrior Within, haven't bought or tried The Two Thrones yet.

I remember playing an old Prince of Persia game back in 1993 - 94 on an old Macintosh computer. I got to level 11 and had to fight my clone, if you stabbed him you died, he stabs you, you die as well. So basically he dies, you die. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to pass that part.

So if this game AC has POP style gameplay it should be a very welcome addition to my collection.
