R-Type Delta saves but doesnt load
Hi everybody! Following problem with R-Type Delta: With pSX 1.13 i can save my pilot to memory card, but afterwards the game is unable to load it. The save works correctly, as I can open it with other emus like epsxe. Only pSX says that it cant find any R-Type files on the memory card. ![]() Other games like FF VII or Gradius Gaiden save and load fine under pSX. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot! |

There is only a report for this on v1.7 (for the NTSC version), which reports it as working fine. Have you tried an older version of pSX? Also, what version of the game are you using?

The version is SCES_1762, PAL-Version. I´ve tried it with pSX 1.7, as it is reported as working in the compatibility list. But - with the same result. "Cannot find any R-Type savegame on memory-card" or something like that.

What OS are you using, Allphredt and where do you have your pSX folder located? This sounds like a permissions problem: check that the permissions for your pSX folder include read/write permission for all subfolders and files.

OS is Vista Business on my Laptop and XP Prof on my Desktop Machine. Both have the same problem. So thats not the point. It can´t be a permissions problem, since - as I wrote before - all other games i have (FF VII, Einhander, Xenogears) read and write the memcard flawlessly. And epsxe 1.6.0 is able to read the r-type memcard written with pSX (!) without any error. So i think the fault is on the side of pSX. Is there nobody who also has R-Type Delta SCES_1762, PAL and can report his experiences with pSX? Last edited by Allphredt; April 13th, 2008 at 19:30.. |

Unfortunately, in the 2+ years that pSX has been public, nobody has reported anything about the PAL version of this game (the reported version is NTSC-U, not PAL). Hopefully somebody has the PAL version though, to confirm or refute this problem. In the meantime, are you able to choose which slot to save/load to/from? If so, try slot 2. There are a few games with this same known problem, and there is unfortunately no workaround for it, except in some cases where slot 2 can be used to save/load.
