vba cheats for pokemon emerald

ok im having some problems using some cheats.....ive put in some gameshark cheats....and i need to know how exactly to put them in and why my VBA runs so slowly after i put them in

what are the cheats that you are trying to use?

Edit: just read Sp's quote. What about action replay code? they should work

some cheats are rapidexecution based and cause the system to slow down excessively when they execute. it usually indicates a below par system.

listen, forget what ever1 else said nd listen 2 me, i was like u 2 about 2 days ago, now i have all the legendaries and i know how to warp to places.
go to gameshark.com and press codes on the left hand side. then press hand - held devices. Now pick the 1st emerald link u see, its the 2nd last one on the first page.
on vba, press cheats and go 2 the place wer u insert codes. get the cheat u want and copy it den paste it in the lover, bigger box.It MUST BE PUT DOWN AS A CODEBREAKER CODE EVEN IF IT IS A GAMESHARK CODE..
then name it whatever the hell u want. den play but 1st press oksy, oh, you have to put in the [M] code 1st,

hey i see this thread has been dead since a while
but i am having the same problem
im using vba-m svn926
when i put in action replay codes,
the emulation becomes very slow(1%)
but the codes work.
is there anything that can be done to fix this??
i wouldnt mind using no$gba
but there i cant use dive.

@alien92, are you are using old version of VBA-M? The latest version is SVN947 right now!

ok..so i got the newer version
im playing emerald and when i enable the code for shiny pokemon
or even specific pokemon,it becomes very slow.
codes that dont patch the ram(eg. the masterball code) they work fine.

HELP!

can anyone help me out, am usin pkmn emerald and after usin the gameshark code 'walk thru walls' for a while i can use my bike anymore. i keep gettin 'u cant dismount ur bike here' when infact am not on it.
