VGB-Android 3.7.8 has been published this morning: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb The main change is that the Real Time Clock (RTC), found in such games as Pokemon and Harvest Moon, will now "tick" while you are not playing the game, just like in a real cartridge. Please note that in order to achieve this effect, you will have to disable "Save State on Exit" option and use in-game saves instead. ALL CHANGES: * Real Time Clock now "ticks" while you are not playing (Pokemon, etc). * Added MOGA gamepad support to the File Selector and the Gallery. * MOGA buttons can now be assigned via "Assign Keys" in Settings. |

I have released VGB-Android 3.7.9 with full support for generic gamepads (like Nyko Playpad) and iCade joysticks throughout the app and improved File Selector: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb You can now navigate the File Selector, Gallery, and Settings using a gamepad and assign custom buttons to gamepad keys using the "Assign Keys" option. The full iCade support is enabled via an option in the Settings. ALL CHANGES: * Added optional iCade joystick support (see Settings). * Added standard gamepad support to File Selector, Gallery, and Settings. * Added iCade support to File Selector, Gallery, and Settings. * Added "Show Real Names" menu option to the File Selector. * Optimized File Selector by not rescanning folder after running emulation. |

Link cable
"The GameLink emulation lets users play with each other over a local network or the Internet, as if their emulated "GameBoys" were connected with a real GameLink cable. To establish connection, use the "Connect NetPlay" option in the Android menu." Is this fully operational? I would like to trade AND battle pokemon blue/red/yellow. Will trading and battling work? If the answer is affirmative, the only thing both players need (not including the ROM of course) is a working internet connection (Wifi/3G)? Thanks! |

I have just released VGB-Android 3.7.10, with GameBoy Pocket Printer support: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb Starting with this version, VGB will output pictures printed with GameBoy Pocket Printer to an .HTML file with the same name as your original ROM file. You can then use any web browser to view and print it to a real printer. Other changes include the improved File Selector and two new Dragon Warrior games in the Cheatopedia. ALL CHANGES: * Added support for GameBoy Printer, printing to HTML files. * Added sort-by-date mode to the File Selector. * Added Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 to the Cheatopedia. * Added Dragon Warrior 3 to the Cheatopedia. |

I have just published VGB-Android 3.7.12, a new version of my GameBoy Classic and GameBoy Color emulator for Android, which will also do Super GameBoy emulation: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb The new version fixes timings on a few common Z80 instructions, which should hopefully stop random slowdowns during emulation. Also, if you are using a Bluetooth joystick or keyboard, the new VGB will automatically hide the on-screen controls. Touch the screen to make them reappear, or you can disable this feature completely in the Settings. Finally, I have introduced some assembler optimizations to the "Soften Video" mode, previously added to my other emulators. ALL CHANGES: * Fixed "JR offset" and "JR Z,offset" instruction timings. * Added option to hide virtual gamepad when using the real one (enabled by default). * Optimized "Soften Video" algorithm in assembler and gained +15fps. * Added Android menu and action items to the Gallery. |
