Replaying Chrono Trigger. Arris dome derp.
Ok, So I used the Zsnes emulator, and it wont let me past Mase & Mune at zeal, i tried everything...fair enough. I go pick up the playstation emulator PSXeven and go for the ps version. Alright, so here I am getting into it a second time, this time carefully doing everything, grinding Chrono and Marle up to having awesome levels. And boom, stuck in Arris Dome. I seen some other people had this same problem with the + 3 button smash on pc, and I understand their problems. I understand the circuitry in keyboards and ive tried these things: I tried putting all the L1, R1, and X key as home, pgup, and pgdn. Nope. I tried using the on screen keyboard. Nope. I even tried using sticky keys. NOPE. The thing about PSXeven is that you can NOT assign 2 keys on the same button. It just wont allow it. Super nintendo emulator allowed it and so did all the others, my question to you is....HOW CAN I CHEAT THIS AND JUST GET THROUGH THAT DAMN AREA. I just need to get past that damn door, is there a way to hover over the bridge or another awesome way to hit 3 keys at once? Or am i doomed to get a controller for my pc, or restart on a different emu. My computer can run this game fine, it can run crysis 1 for christs sake. thanks dudes! |

It's a keyboard limitation, not a fault of the emulator. There are two ways around it, either one, if you have a USB controller, use that. If not, you can assign multiple keystrokes to one key (like L R A in Zsnes) to something on the keyboard.

For me, assigning a button to Alt helped. And you may want to pick up the NDS version. It's got 4 extra dungeons (5, if you count the same dungeon in two timelines as seperate), an additional endgame boss with extra ending and some story-connections to Chrono Cross.

Alt, Shift and Ctrl are modifier keys that can bypass these limitations sometimes (It doesn't always work for some reason I haven't figured out yet). Best bet would still be a controller though.
