Hawken employees genderflip "sexist" poster

Hawken publisher Meteor Entertainment has a handle on the gender equality gig, with ladies making up a solid half of its executive branch, according to a female employee's post on The Hawkeye Initiative.

"Our gender awareness standards, compared to the industry at large, are top shelf," she writes. "We are talking Amelia Earhart in Atlantis, at a five star resort, getting a mani-pedi from Jensen Ackles. I have it good."

But CEO Mark Long (a dude, if that wasn't apparent) had a penchant for the sexy lady poster above (on the left, if that wasn't apparent), and the writer didn't particularly care for it. It was blown up to poster size and placed in his office so that it was the first thing the writer – and all visitors – saw upon entering, and the last thing when leaving.

"This little lady's undermeats have been the open- and close-parens to my work world for the last six months," she described. "I loathe this picture."

So she did something about it. The writer roped in a co-worker and artist, Sam Kirk, to whip up a gender-swapped version of the poster, which they named Brosie the Riveter. They blew it up to the same poster size, and on April 1, they swapped it with the female one in their CEO's office.

When Long saw the poster, he flipped. But then he came up to the writer and said something truly touching:

"That was a brilliant prank. You called me on exactly the bull**** I need to be called on. I put up pictures of half-naked girls around the office all the time and I never think about it. I'm taking you and Sam to lunch. And after that, we're going to hang both prints, side by side."

And so they did. The end.

I especially love how the boss reacted to this!

Warlock is a ****ing beast.
According to the stats, he has the second highest win-rate of all time, only slightly behind Centaur.

Just had an AR game where I got him, and after winning the mid lane against Sniper (he didn't buy regen, wtf), I ganked a bit with the golem, ****ed up the other team's teamfights with my golem, funny stuff
It got even worse when I got Aghanims Scepter, 2 golems to **** **** up with.

Ended the game with 14 kills, 8 deaths and 18 assists.
I can see why so many like him, at least to be a part of their team.

I've never been so happy seeing a 'fail to run' on Can you run this, than seeing I can't run Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition.

I have several 'friends' here who keep posting about how much they 'enjoy' the game, and while I'm tempted to buy it for $7.49, off Amazon, I know I'd reek at the game.

Well you wouldn't reek more than anyone else because when the game isn't cheap and killing almost everyone in ambushes/unexpected moments designed to punish you with death then it's 100% fair (and cheap in the opposite direction). Unlike something like Darksiders it has far less of a dynamic nature and can be beaten largely through knowledge rather than skill.

Got it on a humble bundle sometime ago but never played it.

It's simple but i'm liking it.

I find Dark Souls and Demons Souls isn't that hard once your good on the controls, I died constantly until I was able to play without thinking about the controls. At first with a fresh character there was no way I could kill the skeletons, now (starting a new character) it's not even hard.

Just beat four kings and spent some time getting all the covenant items. I just have the bed of chaos, the dlc areas and that dragon in the archives.. I hate that area through, dumb invisible paths. That forest hunter covenant is fun, could use a few more levels though (sl 92) was ganked repeatedly but managed to win, even managed to win a couple 3vs1 thanks to wotg. Surprised more people don't see that coming.

1.09 patch is out now on psn, don't see the graphical problems anymore.

I've really gotten into Sonic & Sega All Stars Transformed on the PC even though I doubt I'll ever 'beat' it as I'm betting it'll require beating most of the 'story mode' races on hard, and at the moment I can't win on medium.

The controls aren't bad, the graphics are great even with my video card, and its a fun game.

I'm thrilled Amazon sold it to me for $7.94. I was all ready to pay $14.99 for it during the Steam Summer Sale, and now for less than $0.50 more, I snagged it and Lego Batman 2.

I can't believe I got Skyrim, Lego Batman 2, and Sonic and Sega All Stars Transformed for a bit over $30. I'm playing all three games in Steam.
