For online I really recommend 1.6.0 it works great without the multitap function and you can enable rumble (explained in the first post).

EDIT1: Can you test it only on your PC - Start to instance of ePSXe(grafics in window mode) on the one host game and on the second join and split video window. You should be able to contor player 1 and player 2 by switching between 2 emulator windows (With left mouse click or Alt+Tab). If this is working we should aim to network or your friend's PC.

Fixed The problem using 1.6.
I have used Daemon Tools - lite to load the iso.
After that configured CDR Plugin - PEOS CDr and configure it to read subchanels.
Works perfect it wont hang after defeating the boss.
