Has anyone played Lord of the Rings: War in the North?
It's apparently a free download for PSN+ (or everyone, dunno), so I downloaded it yesterday.

Reviews I've seen lie at 6-7/10, with some outliers at both the top and bottom.

I'd rate it a Dat Ass out of 10

Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon 8/10

Its different compared to the Gamecube prequel, it basically has hub worlds and several missions in each one. The things you do in these missions get repetitive but its still fun to play.

Persona 4 Arena - First Thoughts

So I got this finally today... So yeah, I'm not going to give any rating yet but just speak my first thoughts.

Gameplay is lot of fun, you learn the basics fast but pulling off the special attacks is hard... I really hate some of the required movements, the down+down/right+right for example is annoying as it's easy to push it too far and make the character jump if using analogue stick and using the D-pad just doesn't seem to work when doing it quickly in battle...or maybe I just suck at it. I have to confess that I don't play fighting games that much.

After finishing the tutorial mode I decided to train in actual combat before starting the story mode and tried the arcade with Yu(aka the protagonist in P4) but finished it on the first try! Not going to say it was easily but I made it, especially the. And I have to say, the basic light attack combo if you have enough SP is just crazy. Funnily I then started the story with Chie instead, freaking beefbowl ending!

I really like how the story mode actually has a big story, especially since it so far makes sense too...at least for those who have played P3 & P4. I was actually really suprised how well they combined the P3 to it, at least going by the beginning of Aigis' story. The humor is awesome, especially the "fighter" titles and going by the joke ending in Chie's story...

The game also looks awesome... I just love the 2D sprites, like I did in BlazBlue, it just has this charm to it that the 3D fighting games don't have.

all I can say to you since I have been playing it since I got it last year it controls much better with an arcade stick. On the hardest difficulty the A.I isn't easy at all. The story makes sense since p3/p4 are in the same world, it does have a big story and IMO the best story for a fighting game I have experienced in a long time

Well, if you look at the gallery there's the "basics" video and it uses the arcade stick as the example controller... And even the way the button colors are represented are the way they're on a usual arcade stick. I don't think I'll get one just for one game though, well I do have Calamity Trigger but even then it's just two games(and if I wanted to be fair I'd need another one if I wanted to play with a friend).

Blades of Time Limited Edition is in the Groupees Be Mine 8 bundle.

I don't have the hard drive space, or the time to play it, at the moment.

Its in the $5 Tier.

Actually i can't really complain that much about Racoon City, it wasn't of the main branch it was just a side project and except for the firing system it was a decent game imho and a fun way to revisit some of the places in RE2 and 3.

Been playing Post Apocalyptic Mayhem courtesy to HCR (thanks again ^^), and this is quite a fun racing game, love the Veteran XD.

Cars feel like they have no real weight to them though. And there are soooo many different paths to take that it's actually bad cuz it means you might not get near enough to anyone to use a power-up anytime again if you accidentally get sidetracked and clean racing doesn't get you all that far in this game.
