Nothing new. Timing issues or something else makes adhoc tricky to implement properly.

Also yes I'm the only one 'working' on the wifi...

I just read 441 posts spanning across 23 pages in this thread trying to find out if there's a way to trade my emulated "Pokemon" to a physical NDS. Needless to say, I was unsuccessful and no longer care.

But I felt compelled to register on the forums. I really cannot believe the disrespect that the "developers" have shown to anyone with the curiosity to try this.

If you search for "desemume wifi" on Google, this page is one of the first to show up. So it's only natural that anyone with the desire to trade "Pokemon" or race in "Mario Kart" would give this a shot. Yet, anyone with a question has been metaphorically shat on by some elitist developers.

I'm paraphrasing, but this seems to be the general attitude :
"If you can't figure out how to compile your own experimental Wi-Fi protocols in C++ to work with DeSemuMe, then you need to give up and die. This is for developers, not just any idiot who can hit the download button."

That's kind of like a doctor coming into the ER and saying :
"Hey man, if you can't figure out how to patch up a bullet wound and stop massive internal arterial bleeding on your own then just give up and die. *This world is for real doctors, not people who just hit the "save me" button."

I'm just confused. Why make a public thread on an open forum about a popular and desirable subject for an Alpha stage emulator feature and then bite off the heads of anyone who experienced a hiccup trying it out? I have seen users insult others who tried to emulate this Wi-Fi feature, as if we should all know the digital architecture of a Nintendo DS emulator. I personally feel as though if you cannot make a user-friendly way of connecting to Wi-Fi, then don't make a public release.

But then again, I guess you don't spend all of your time and energy adding to a Nintendo DS emulator because you're good with people. (zeromus)

Sincerely,
Concerned Internet Citizen

Here is the difference between your doctor analogy and a emulator developer....

You, or your insurance company is paying your doctor a massive amount of money to fix your gun wound - they are obligated (both to get your money, and to a certain extent by the law to provide treatment). The emulator is piece of software distributed for FREE, so they are in no way obligated to provide any level of service to you - including providing binaries or even treating anyone nicely.

I imagine they have a very good reason to not distribute binaries. It's probably a very buggy feature in it's current state (Not sure, don't keep up with NDS emulation) - therefore if it's easy to obtain, the forum is going to end up flooded with waves of noobs complaining about it not working.

In conclusion, there is no reason for you to complain. If can not resist the urge to complain, then you need to leave the forum, continue a long, happy life, and then die peacefully.

I applaud you.
I'm not very good with expressing myself but that's exactly how I felt. Too much hostility for no good reason.

yeah, the give up and die parts were a little unnecessary lmao. and it's a tad arrogant to call all the people that are following and caring about the project, "idiots who hit the download button". if it was sarcasm, they should know by now that it doesn't work through text! not even a single "" hehehe.

i mean, come on people! we're constantly complaining about lack of members, yet we despise their questions. they may just be unaware of the difficulty.

WiFi can be achieved. However, you need version 9.7. It took me about a half hour to set up the WiFi, but it was well worth it, and the WiFi unbelievably is very stable. I didn't think it was possible over an emulator at first to be honest. I have proof video's here just recorded from October 23rd to today. These video's were recorded by me on my stream at Twitch TV. I'm playing Pokemon White 2.
