"Open Midtown Madness" project
Hi everyone, as for the MM3 Petition - I signed but wouldn't it be easier to find out where MM3 textures and sounds are stored in the XBE archive and supply just the engine (car dynamics, collision detection etc.) instead of creating a whole new emulator of a machine which has never been documented and bluntly speaking is not far from being unable to emulate?? What I'm suggesting is something like launching an "Open Midtown Madness" project in a similar fashion like the successfull "Open Transport Tycoon" or "Open Theme Hospital" projects. I think that with lot of enthusiasts we could finally play the MM3 on our PCs! ;-) Who's with me? :-) |

If you just want to find ot where textures are stored in xbe then watch this http://lordsnowdev.emunext.net/. In a year or so, it might be usefull. But for modding, better wait for an emulator, and be prepared for a long wait.
