Question about formula in Excel.
Say I want to do a sum of all purchases between two dates, and I have Column E as the dates and column B as the price. How do I set up a formula to do a sum if the date is between two numbers?

Thanks, I finally got it with DSUM, but I see it would be better doing it in a database, I just wanted to see if I could do what I wanted in a spreadsheet, as I don't have Access (except 2000) I'm using Office 2003 which has Word and Excel. I just don't have a few hundred $$$ to justify getting Office 2010. I had to make a header for each month using DSUM, its too bad you can't use one header, but I'll bet what I wanted to do could be done in Office 2010.

You really need to try out LibreOffice or OpenOffice if that's how you feel about MS Office.

Agreed libreoffice is a better product over openoffice since some people left openoffice because of the way its being run now. Considering its Apache OpenOffice now and we all know that Oracle owns apache and oracle seems to have let some of their products get off track such as virtualbox I can no longer get on the forums over there because of what oracle has changed with their system.
