Freeze at Publisher Screen

So, I've been playing around, trying to get ePSXe to work for a bit now, and I was excited to see it finally launch a game. First, Sony Computer Entertainment America Presents. Then, for the two games I've tried so far, I get the Publisher's logo, in this case Squaresoft (FF:T) and Namco (ToD). And then... nothing. Freezes at the logo. Anyone know why this might be happening?

are you playing from the original disc or from an image?

Image. Downloaded, extracted, unECM'd, then tried to play it.

Do you have original disks?
If yes then make the images yourself, that way you will be 100% sure that the problem does not lie in the bad rips.

Also, take a look at the forum rules, this forum doesn't condone piracy.
