I could not find this problem on any FAQ for the SSF.

I bought an original Shin Seiki Evangelion game disc for the Saturn. The game starts up fine, but the main menu doesn't show. No START or CONTINUE or nothnig. They are still there though, I can access the game itself, but no text. Even when I start the actual game I hit a wall ten seconds in, from what I can guess, I'm supposed to choose what to do by picking an action and the actions that I can pick are represented by moving images which make sounds when the cursor that I cannot see points at them. Something something graphics. What could it be?
