Ireland is going home as the first team. You can't deny their fans are one of the best in the world though!

Netherlands and Denmark joining in and going home.

NL is one of biggest disappointments on the Euro - one of the favorites to win it and not even getting a point. The defence was as poor as it could be, slow and easy to pass, quite lost at times. So called "star" van der Wiel has been on my nerve ever since two seasons ago in Ajax (check Ronaldo's second goal, what vdW is doing). Vlaar? Mathijsen? The Portugese did whatever they wanted with them. Willems? Way too young and inexperienced yet (one of the easiest games for Nani in his life I'd wager!), do we seriously have only Pieters to put on left back and if he's injured we're ****ed? Well, no but van Marwijk left Emmanuelson and Anita home for some reason... Too bad Gio left :/

Midfield... Van Bommel should say goodbye and retire in PSV, apart from one pass in the second game he did nothing. De Jong was only OK. Van der Vaart was much better when he was in and should've played all along. Afellay ok, considering he didn't get too much play time this season due to the injury. Robben - as much as I like him, this is not his season. Van Persie much better on the wing than as striker where he was tripping on his own feet but still disappointing, although Huntelaar didn't show much more and you would expect something more from best scorers of Premiership and Bundesliga, wouldn't you? Sneijder, well Wes tried to play and do something, one of the better on the team.

The best player of the Netherlands during Euro 2012? Without a doubt Maarten Stekelenburg, without him it would be a catastrophe and he had many great and crucial saves, especially yesterday (otherwise it'd be 6 or even 7-1 for Portugal).

Netherlands didn't play as a team, just a bunch of people without an idea what to do. What happened to the second team of last World Cup? Only Maarten, Rafael and Wes played well IMO, the rest was utterly bad!

I don't know that, but that little "outside to the inside , shoot" trick is so much overused by now that every opponent knows it.

anyway, that was really poor.. I only half-watched, anyway.
there was no team, just a bunch of frustrated people. Ah well, now they can have their vacation. I think they need it

Damn I feel sorry for Cech.
Mediocre team with an amazing goalkeeper.
