Just for interest, will you try the following? If you open your GFWL / GFW Marketplace, sign in, and go to settings, there should be software versions at the bottom of the screen (GFWL & GFWM). Which ones is it?

When I wrap the renamed dinput8.dll (dinput8b.dll) I get the following error message when trying to launch Dark Souls:

Quote:
Loading of specified input wrapper failed with error 998: Invalid acess to memory location.
According to the GFW Marketplace my version is:

Quote:
Software Version: 3.5.0050.0/3.5.0092.0

Looked at:

http://upwardgaming.com/dark-souls-f...r-controllers/

Various tip on getting controllers working. Suggests you might need to clone xinput1_3.dll as xinput1_1.dll and xinput1_2.dll? I dont have the game so I've no idea if any of these tips will work.

Did that, still only works for GFWL and not Dark Souls. I think by now it's likely that I'm firmly belong to the God hates me group... *sigh

Seems that game need dinput8.dll when using dsfix, it resolves issues - http://forums.ngemu.com/showthread.p...22#post2092722
Any other issues are caused by incorrect configuration.

I've renamed the dinput8.dll from the X360CE library to x360cedinput8.dll, placed it into my DATA folder, and put the file name behind dinput8dllWrapper in dsfix.ini.

Quote:
dinput8dllWrapper x360cedinput8.dll
Now I'm getting this error when launching.

Quote:
Loading of specified dinput wrapper failed with error 998: Invalid access to memory location.

cannot reproduce on this end :\

dsfix is working just fine with x360ce

the OS version being misreported likely has to do with the issue somehow

danshyu, can you send me teamviewer information so i can compare the contents of your darksouls directory against mine.
