Plugins for Castlevania SoN

I need a good plugin to use with Symphony of Night. Someone on another thread mentioned that Lewpy's worked for them besides a small fixable problem. However, when I bring up the configuration window, "error" is displayed in a couple of the boxes, and when I try to run SoN with that plugin Windows suffers an error and has to close the program. I don't know if I need to download a new set of plugins or what.

The Video plugin I am using now is P.E.Op.S. SoftDriver, and it works alright, except for the fact that at certain parts of the game it speeds up dramatically, and then, annoyingly enough, it speeds up randomly besides those certain places. If I knew how to fix this problem, I wouldn't need another plugin. As is probably already apparent, I am new to ePSXe.

Thanks in advance for any help.

you can keep using Peops software GPU, that's a good choice for this game. enable FPS limit and set it to auto.

My Glide plugin is designed to work with aged 3dfx graphics cards.
So if your system is newer than 5 years old, it will not work for you.

Policy Line - I have never, and will never, support nor recommend the use of Glide Wrappers with my Glide plugin.

With that said, you are free to experiment if you so desire, just don't expect any problems to be investigated, etc.
To be honest, I don't know of any Glide Wrapper that supports all the features of Glideł that I use. I vaguely remember one being developed that started to support the necessary features/functions, but can't remember the name nor remember how far progressed it got. I am not being dismissive of them, I genuinely can't remember Glide Wrapper's are perfect for when there is only Glide support in an application, and no native support for your card.

Bottom line is - you are much better off using Pete's OpenGL or D3D plugins for your card, because they talk to your card natively rather than having to go through a layer of emulation (which is what the Glide Wrapper is essentially doing). I programmed my plugin with 3dfx cards in mind (which is how Glide works), and that doesn't necessarily fit well with how other manufacturer's cards are designed.
