I actually bought beyond the beyond the day it came out. I still think it's a alright rpg. Nothing spectacular for certain, but still decent.

Here's some shots from Twisted Metal.

Looking at that game now, my memories of it are probably better than the game really deserves. I only rented it once for one week, but I found the sheer atmosphere awesome back then. Especially the background music on the Rooftop stage was (and still is) just brilliant.

But now... Well, cranking up the resolution with filtered textures doesn't exactly make the game look prettier. Actually, it looks better in software mode, because you don't see those obvious horrible graphical flaws as much. Just look at that split-screen screenshot with the top car driving through a narrow corridor. Perspective corrected texture mapping, what's that?

Dragon Ball Z Legends. Quite old, but very good! Better than the other DB games IMO!

Here are a couple of Ridge Racer - Hi-Spec Demo (PAL) shots. It's a very well featured demo, almost like the full game. Only the most of music tracks are missing and the famous RR-lady too. . This demo has higher resolution, 50FPS and even enchanged textures and it's available with original "black" RRT4 as a bonus CD. Of course there are original RR-race on the same disc and other bonuses as well.

My config is here:

That's the first time I've seen the PS version, and I'm surprised about how similar it and the PC games look (except for the obvious lack of perspective correction). Nice pictures .

I like Descent Maximum since it offers new levels, tho it's purely based from D2 (the weapons and powerups). The controls aren't that bad either, tho epsxe doesn't emulate analog in that game but it is analog compatible according to the box. I still prefer D2 cause of the high res cockpit, but the 3D models look very good in epsxe

I've only played a demo of D2 and the graphics looked the same to me as the first one (which is a good thing ). I only ran it at the default resolution though (320x240?) Maybe the PS version uses those dual flight joysticks instead of a normal analog pad.
