Are you talking about Borland Turbo C++?

I use to code in Turbo C++ and I can tell you don't use it.

I have written code where the Turbo C++ complier keeps on crashing, but the same code runs fine on another C++ compiler.

There are far better compliers like DevC which are free.

I need turbo c++ 4.5 . Aren't there any trial versions......?

if they're not listed on borland's web site, or you can't find a trial version by searching the net, you're out of luck. turbo c++ is weak tho, mostly used to teach programming. For serious program, you need something like visual c++ (well not absolutely need, but its just more convenient to code huge programs with visual or any type of visual rip off).

get DJGPP from http://www.delorie.com , it's a freeware win32/dos C/C++ compiler.

You're kidding, right? Turbo C++ is darn powerful. Borland C++ even better. Linux was written in C. Entire legacy (pre Win9x) games, OSes, etc... were all written in C/C++.

VC++ is for people who want headaches (j/k) Seriously tho, Go for normal C/C++ if you're no programming for Win9x. If not, well... VC++ is good. Painful at times, but good. (Esp. when VC++ *forgets* to update the meta information that it adds)

Turbo C++ 4.5 is usually sold in academic computer stores.

There are no trial versions.

So if you taking C classes you have no choice, but to buy it from the school.

The only difference between Turbo C++ 4.5 and other C compilers is the easy window that is created for easier viewing. The program window doesn't close immediately under Turbo C++ 4.5 because the program isn't going through the DOS prompt window.

that's right, Linux was written in C! NOT C++! that's a LOT of difference! C++ is much slower than pure ANSI/POSIX C!
