mirc download speed
Mirc download speed is very slow.is there any program which can be used to increase the speed of downloads.my transfer rate is 6kbps but it does not pass even 2kbps.what should i do to increase the speed.

mIRC is a program ... if you mean the download speeds from mirc.com, use a mirror :eek: I'd guess you are talking about the speeds you get when downloading stuff from IRC though ... that's usually realted to the IRC server you are using, the other side who is sending and the distance of course ... changing any of that might help

usually i get lower speeds im mIRC too my transfer rate is normal 5~6Kb in mIRC only 3kb

I think it depends on the person you're downloading from. I usually get around 15-30 kbps but one time I averaged at around 150 kbps (the person was on a T3). On the net I can usually get much higher download speeds, but then again there's a lot more bandwidth on the net. mIRC is limited to the speed of the host, client and the distance between them.

demigod's rite it depends on the person sending the file. i only get 1-2k a sec on mirc. =(
