They sold me a dodgy screen.
I have every right to expect a replacement if they can't fix it

The Australian consumer laws are there to protect customers from dodgy businesses (not saying ASUS is dodgy, but they did sell me a bad monitor)

Is a 7870 worth 30 bucks over the 7850.

Which would you guys choose.

Both 2gb.

The 7870 does seem pretty good, for $30 more I would personally go the 7870, especially for 2560x1440 performance.

I'd pick a 7870 to last me better at full HD.

GTX 660 owner here but the HD 7870 seems to be the best bang for the buck now (reminds me of the time when i got the 9600GT which was also sandwiched between the HD 3850 and 3870, similar situation with the 7850 and 7870 >_> )

I learned C# 5 years ago, learned WPF 3 years ago, learned MVVM coding pattern 1 and half year ago and i'm starting to think that those were the worst desicions i ever made in my career as a coder.......

[Rant]
The reason for that is because i almost forgot about my past with C and C++ too and now that i'm back using those again i feel like in the Stone era.... in the past that was all i knew and never saw so many annoying things as that was the way i learned to do things but now that i know far better and incredibly awesome ways to do things is just a living hell!

Spent two freaking weeks working in just few changes where i have to render lots of stuff myself and write a lot of silly code while looking how horrible my code gets even if i do my best to Keep it organized..... Jesus.... i almost started to puke. After i was done with the changes my co-workers were amazed to see that i actually accomplished those big changes in just two weeks but they noticed that i was frustrated... they asked me... "Joel, why are you so frustrated??? those were some big changes and it just took you two weeks, many of us would probably Need longer!"

... after a Moment of silence i said... "You know... i will Show you why just give me some time". I opened Visual Studio started a new Project in C#, picked WPF as a target and started to do some work... after 25 minutes i had the exact same Changes with even far more improvements then i said.... "I hope you understand now......" and i stand up and picked a coffee... almost wished a cigarette for a moment.

While drinking some coffee i explained that i find C++ to be an awesome language and that i love it... i just hate the way it was designed since it now feels like a super bloated enviroment that Support way too many crappy ways that ironically do it's Job quite fast.
[/Rant]

C++ was designed in the 70's.

It's still a powerful language, if a bit long winded.
