Hey all, So. I've got the latest build from the Google Code site. I've got the BIOS files in place, and tested that they work by running 'no disk' in the emulator. Worked fine. Using NullDC 1.0.4, WinXP, 1GB RAM, nVidia GeForce Go 7400, CoreDuo 1.6GHz Note: These same results happen on my Win7 64-bit PC. Downloaded, installed, used Padus DiscJuggler to rip CDI files of my DC burnt CDs. -I have originals, they are buried in the loft, that's the truth. All my games are UK (PAL), except where noted. I also acquired a VF3TB CDI from a friend. The emulator error'd opening this file, reporting 'selected image failed to load' I noticed others had been using GDI files, so I renamed them to .GDI. This helped some! ![]() Ran the emulator, loaded the game GDI file, it does the DC swirl intro (bios-based?), but then just sits at the system menu. If it hit 'play', it just says 'Please insert game disc'. The dos prompt reports the DC bios and NV ram files loaded successfully. And from what I can tell there are no errors loading the plugins. (I am only using the plugins which came bundled with the emulator). Included here 2 screenshots of the DOS reportage at 2 points: Just after I ran the image file in the emu: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8529/8...d16cc414_b.jpg ![]() And another just after I pressed 'A' at the 'please insert game disc' screen: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8093/8...4b91cb02_b.jpg ![]() All of the above are the result of running a VF3TB.gdi file. As I say, .CDI file gave me a worse result still. -emulator just flat out closed, no error produced, just vanishes! With that failing, I thought I'd try loading one of my CDI (ripped from a burnt CD), images of games. I tried Jet Grind Radio (USA). -yes I did remember to set the emu to NTSC. Just as before it loaded the DC swirl screen, but then the emulator crashes immediately after. Screenshot here: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8236/8...a94b42ff_b.jpg ![]() There's something in the DOS prompt above screenshot, about a read error, perhaps? It confuses me, because all I did was use DiscJuggler to 'create image file from disc/CD'. The CD's I ripped them from, fair enough, were already backups. But I would have thought this process would just produce a 1:1 copy of the CD. This emulator has me baffled, and I'm so keen to try out my old games in 1080p ! Hopefully any kind souls still into DC emulation might be able to help me

so, you ripped some images to iso, and wonder why they just don't want to work -_- iso and cdi binary formats are entirely different. |
