Well, excuse me while I try to look for a PrintScreen key... or equivalence...

I may eventually give up and plug in an external keyboard... though...

By the way, SF4 actually doesn't look that sharp at the uber resolution. Something about the game gives it a soft look...

Now that fits the criteria (if you can get actual images). I'd like to see to more of those, but preferably of shots from the game itself and not just score results.

I only took a shot of the score results because I can't, for the life of me, find a key combination that works as a substitute for PrintScreen.

And taking a photo of a high resolution screen doesn't quite... deliver the meaning.

That shot up there was mostly to show that the machine is capable of producing high detail visuals... now I only need to find a way to capture that output.

I don't think SFIV was that detailed to begin with. Combined with their arse shaders, upping the resolution wouldn't improve much.

EDIT - Also can't believe the amount of douches in this thread. Seriously, go troll elsewhere.

Wish I could try SSF4AE on my PC with that screen.
Just for the curiosity of whether my GTX580 3GB would manage to reach 60fps at that crazy resolution

Try my Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6 or Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Playstation button mods!
As far as handhelds go, well, I get the Nintendo one.

It's not so much how graphically great something is as the level of detail or definition, or, the resolution. It could be a game from the 1990s and perhaps still fit, albeit not as impressively.

It would. Lest you're saying a laptop's GPU is better than your GTX 580.

And I found the PrintScreen button. But I can't find an image host that won't downscale the image... hmm...

Edit: never mind. Found one.

I'll upload PCSX2 next.

Never mind PCSX2...

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit looks insane!

And the infamous Pagani Zonda...

I'll take shots of the more exotic cars in the game when I reach that point.

By the way, does anyone wanna see ePSXe at 3840 x 2400?

Well, this is the PC games screenshots forum, and that's what I had in mind when I made the thread. ePSXe is bad enough a 1024 x 768. There's enough widened/fattened 1080p images out there as it is, an higher will only make it that much worse.

The aliasing and textures leave a bit to be desired, though it's always nice seeing higher definition images regardless.

2880 x 1800 with AA? Why do I get the feeling that it won't end well?

It'll end better than conventional AA anyways.

Well, no dice. GT 650M is too new or something.

Not to mention in NFS HP, the rearview mirror is bugged with my current drivers. It displays primitives without textures.

But I think the problem is that the game looks pixelated when you view it on a lower res screen.

At 2880 x 1800 on a 15.4" screen (seriously!), there is no pixelation to be seen. Whoever said that you don't need AA at ultra high pixel density was absolutely correct.

True, I forgot that the screen was so tiny. Yeah you won't need any AA at all.

I didn't need much AA (2xAA looked like a traditional 8xAA or better) with 2048 x 1536 in a 19.8" area, so you probably won't need any with an even greater pixel density. On a more standard dot pitch display though, you can obviously see the aliasing.

Somewhat related:

I just came across this interesting discussion on Guru3D. Not sure if you'd seen it, but I'll post it anyway:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=346325

Apparently, you can force a custom downsampling resolution. It'll allow you to do essentially 2x and 4xAA in games that don't support AA at all.

I haven't tried it, since 2xAA downsampling native for me would be 5760 x 3600, which is waaaaaayyyyy too many pixels to render. But maybe it'll help put those jagged edges to rest... hmm...
