I thin kthere might have been a couple (literaly, a couple) of Japanese only ones, but otehr than Paper Mario and possibly Harvest Moon, I don't think there were any English RPGs for the N64.

Yeah Ogre Battle 64 is awesome if your into stategy rpgs...ie FF tactics, (i find ogre battle better). Oh and don't forget about Quest 64 (don't really get that it was a load of crap)....yeah I didn't like 64 much either cuz of the lack of rpg's.

Yeah that is what made the SNES so great .. that and the NES introduced a lot of people to the RPG genre .. but the N64 missed the boat there and GameCube is lacking as well. Oh well there is always Sony PS1/PS2

Personally I think Aidyn's Chronicles is AMAZING! A lot of people give it a bad rap but once you really get into it's incredible. The only downers are that the music is pretty uninteresting and repetitive and textures get reused a lot.

At least the gamecube had more RPGs than the N64 ever did.....but yeah, Ogre Battle 64 is awesome.

You mean "Animal crossing", although the N64 version was only known as "Doubutsu no Mori".

Animal Forest is what "Dobutsu no Mori" means in Japanese.

If true, then although that would be my mistake, I'll blame nintendo too. I assumed that nintendo correctly translated the name when they brought it to the USA for the gamecube. Wouldn't be the first time that a game company didn't think that non-japanese were good enough for a game's correctly translated name.

Hybrid Heaven is another excellent game from Konami; what I like about it is the aura, it has a similar vibe like Metal Gear Solid, but it's an action RPG where you learn various fighting moves. These include right/left hook, pile drivers and other fun ways of beating up mutants and evil people.

Quest64 is good for beginning with RPGs but it's rather mediocre. Still it was a lot of fun to play. Maybe you could even count Mystical Ninja as RPG, even though it's more an Action-Adventure like Zelda... |

This look like my question thread a long time ago. If you looking for a lot of RPG, SNES has it. N64 not much.
