For a very long time it didn't look like they were gonna make it, but Shadowrun Online raised it's goal of 500k and has now reached 520k with 3 hours to go.

I would be super excited...but I think it's going to be way more about Multiplayer than single player and also it looks like it's a RTS where you're an actual unit on the battlefield and I never really like those.

Some of the devs were involved in Total Annihilation, sold me the game right there.

Art style looks funky too, I like it.

EDIT: Dang, closing in on 600k, this pleases me greatly.

Project Giana! Now to try the demo... =D

$108,208 more needed for Planetary Annihilation. 18 days to go, I hope that doesn't stall right there. =S

I pledged $15. I'd love to get the Soundtrack, but not for $10.

I have Giana DS, but I freaking had to "beg" Nintendo for it.

I don't like to have to "beg" to get good games, and it always seems to be with Nintendo.

Sounds like a fitting time to throw an AMA on reddit and fling poo at publishers. Rebels love that.
Origin offers crowdfunded indies the opportunity to redeem all pledged copies free, up to 2 months after release, so offering Origin-redeemable copies may be a nice extra to offer, either as a perk or addition to existing rewardc tiers.

the Giana Sisters Kickstart hit its goal, maybe they'll get to $200,000.

If you "support/donate" $25 or more, you will get all the DLC, plus the soundtrack.

Project Giana

It appears the game will have DLC, the first one going free to everyone who supported the game ($10 or more.)

"Well, as Adrian already pointed out in the comments (Spotlight stealer! ), we are happy to announce the following:

Of course there will be future content for Giana once it is released. We want to bring you all the things we have planned and more! And as an exclusive thank-you to the backers who supported us with so much enthusiasm, we are promising all backers who have pledged at 25$ and above ALL future PC content for Giana at NO additional cost!

This is not an additional Tier, or an additional pledge or anything of the likes. Anyone who pledges at 25$ and above by the end of the campaign (or has already pledged at 25$ or higher) will receive this special gift.

In addition, the first PC content pack for Giana will be free of charge for everyone!

And we have more news incoming! So stay tuned and thank you again for all the love and support!
"

Project Greenlight has Giana as one of the games to support!

I don't understand DLC in a "small" game like that. Not every game ever from now on needs DLC....

Probably to pay for the costs of adding content, the devs barely got enough money to finish the basic part of the game and need additional funding to add all they want to the game. If you funded $25 you get all the DLC as opposed to $10 for the basic game plus 1 free DLC.

Look, they barely got the money they needed to finance the basic game, had the minimum been $15 they may not have had that much. I guess you're a glass half empty gamer as I'm happy the game is coming out, and I spent the extra $15 to get the full game.

Take a look at some gamers whining on Steam about $15 for 10 Indie games in a bundle, and you'll see how hard it is to get gamers to support games.

Because most Indie games don't have anywhere near AAA quality and that's what we all want at the end of the day. I can honestly say that aside from Humble Bundle 5 I wouldn't want most Indie bundles even if I got given them for free.

It has nothing to do with the glass being half empty or half full, it has to do with it being pathetic for a small game to be made even smaller by the subtraction of DLC.

I've enjoyed some Indie games more than AAA games, and if Indie games don't get funded, they don't get made.

There aren't many games like Giana Sisters for the PC, I liked Giana Sisters DS, I was willing to fund the PC version enough to get the game plus the DLC plus the soundtrack.

AAA games have massive amounts of money put into them, and they cost $60+ and have DLC. Giana was $10, $25 if you wanted the game plus all the DLC. Frag they gave a DLC free with the $10 purchase.

Its not like Giana was/will be $60 with $15 DLC, so I think its unfair to compare it to $60 AAA games with $15 DLC, and too many gamers won't pay more than $1 for "Indie" games even though they can be more fun than AAA games, that's sad.

Most indies dont even earn as much as this kickstarter's free money (preorders essentially). Perhaps disclosures would be eye-opening.
To suggest theyre suddenly turning cash-strapped to the extent any extra content has to be cut when they even described it in their campaign and planned for it is inappropriate.

game development is basically how little they want to innovate and how much they want to rush these days.
