Bug: Characters shaking in FFX
I just started playing Final Fantasy X in PCSX2 1.0, and I've noticed that the characters are jittering/shaking. It does not appear to be an interlacing issue, since the picture itself is not shaking, just the characters. It becomes obvious whenever the camera zooms in on Tidus, such as in the opening cutscene, and in every cutscene I've seen so far. I did a few searches, and I haven't encountered a fix for this yet. PC Specs Processor: Intel i7-2720QM Quad-Core @ 2.20GhZ Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6750M, 1GB VRAM RAM: 4GB Display resolution: 1680x1050 Emulation Settings Preset: Safest Round mode: Nearest (heard this was needed for FFX to prevent backwards characters in battle) MTVU enabled Automatic Gamefixes GSDS Version: AVX (automatically chosen on first launch) Renderer: Direct3D11 Hardware Interlacing: Auto D3D Internal Resolution: 3x Native Texture filtering enabled Allow 8-bit textures disabled Hardware hacks disabled FXAA enabled Thanks! |

That's normal on the real hardware. The PS2 lacks Z-buffering when rendering 3D polygons, which is vital for Z-coordinates in 3D. The problem was very common the PSX as well, so not much can be done about it.

Huh, that's odd. It must just be certain games, because I didn't see it in Kingdom Hearts. I bet the upscaling emphasizes it a little bit too. Thanks! |
