hi! i'm juz new in pSX emulation, so i lyk 2 ask a question regarding about my problem ryt now in playing pSX 1.13 i've already put the bios (namely scph1001) in its specific folder.. done installing the d3dx9_26.dll... and I can play the game (twisted metal4)... the problem is... wen i finish starting the game,, after a few minutes. a small tab appears in the monitor that says, "Unhandled exception. Save a crash dump? Yes or NO?"... wen i chuz "yes", it will save a .mdmp file but wen i chuz "no", another tab will appears agen that says, "psxfin.exe has encountered a problem and needs to be close. We are sorry for the inconvinience.." after that, it will automatically close the pSX emulator... ![]() ![]() ![]() psx 1.13 works fine! ![]() but... i can't play the game for too long!! bcoz it keeps on appearing evrytym i start the game.. ![]() ![]() ![]() any1 can help me? ![]() wat shud i do now?? ![]() ![]()

Does it ever happen in the same place in the game? Or if not, does it always seem to occur when a certain kind of thing happens? Have you tried other games to see if this problem still occurs? You might want to try a different BIOS, just in case. Also, if you're using an image of the game, try mounting or inserting it (whichever you're not already doing), and playing from the original disc is always a good thing to try. Try re-ripping the game from the original disc if you're using an image. And if you're using an image, what type is it? The best is ccd/img/sub or mds/mdf. The ISO and cue/bin formats are pretty much crap and you want to avoid those whenever possible.

i believe your issue is related to your memory, read over this.

@jonc2006: Quite out of the blue, considering we've never come across that problem before to this situation which has happened before.

these types of error messages can come from a number of things but memory seems to be one of the more prominent ones. drentooth, read this and try doing what it says about analysing the crash dump. the only other thing at this point that comes to mind is to try is running the disc as an image mounted on a virtual drive software like daemon tools, ive seen a few people in similar situations get their issues resolved by doing that.

I have the same problem, I play only Mega Man 8 on pSX, but whenever I beat a boss, the split-second before Mega Man runs to acquire the boss's ability, I get the error message "b0rken Unhandled Exception. Save a crash dump?".

You are not supposed to get EXP after a boss fight, that's normal. As for pSX, do you get any error messages?
