Pokemon HG freezing a lot

Hello everyone!

I skimmed through some of the posts and saw nothing related to the issue I'm having(if someone already posted about it then I do apologize!).

Basically whenever I'm playing HG at the beginning when you first start to battle the trainers near Mr. Pokemons house my game keeps freezing, the sound still plays but I cant do anything at all.

I've tried downloading numerous Pokemon HG patched roms and tried some cheat codes that supposedly fix it but nothing seems to be working.

Any advice fellas?

Downloading patches is perfectly fine but patched roms are just as illegal as the unpatched kind and therefore you won't receive any support here as it's against our Rules and because of this your thread has been locked.
