What's the difference between Kingston SSDNow V200 and V+200?
I wanna get the 120/128GB, but which one is better?

Also, i've heard a lot of people talking about getting BSOD from some early OCZ drives. Is that fixed on this line of SSDs now?

The reason OCZ SSDs got BSOD was cuz of early Sandforce controllers, it does still happen on later versions of Sandforce but its more rare now. Both use a JMicron JMF66x controller the + version is faster but seems slower on sustained random 4k reads. Either one is fine mostly when used on SATA 6Gb/s. I would do some research on JMicron controllers

Well i found these reviews on both drives:
Kingston SSDNow V200 128GB SSD Review
Kingston SSDNow V+200 120GB SSD Review

From what i saw, the V+200 should be faster, but its slower on file copy, CrystalDiskMark: seq read, seq write and 4k write. Also slower on all AS-SSD tests.
But on ATTO 4MB tests, its almost 2x faster.
On PCMark 7 Profession they're almost the same.

I can get the V200 here for R$370 and the V+200 for R$500.
I'll get a SSD for my notebook, which specs are on signature. It's SATA II only, no SATA III.
All i need is to buy a caddy to replace my dvd with the 640GB WD mechanical drive.

Well i'm looking for the 2nd SATA HDD on ebay.

I found this, but when i ask the seller if it would work on my notebook, he said:
"please help to check the slot of the laptop is SATA, and the thick is 9.5mm"

It is SATA, but when he says thick, he means height?

EDIT: found this on another seller description:
"This is a 9.5mm SATA to SATA 2nd Hard Drive Caddy/Adapter, ONLY FITS 129mm*128mm*9.5mm optical drive."
So i just need to measure my dvd drive?

It means the height. Yea you should measure it to see if it fits where your optical drive goes.

Another seller told me the 12.7mm fits.
I'm getting it next week.
And i'll try to find the SSD at São Paulo(biggest city in Brazil) this weekend, at a reasonable price.

It arrived yesterday.
I've done some research, and looks like the intel hm67 chipset does support sata 3.
But the hdd caddy to replace the dvd hasn't yet.
So i connected the ssd to usb 3 case, and here's the results.
The 1st picture is the ssd on usb3 and the second a 320GB 5400RPM sata 2 on usb3.

Well sorry guys it took so much time for a reply.
The SSD arrived, then after 3 weeks the caddy arrived, and today after a couple more weeks, i finally had time to assemble everything.

I have yet to install an OS into it, but the first initial impressions are very good.
Here some quick benchs:
1) SSD running through SATA3 (replaced the DVD Drive).
2) HDD running through SATA2 (original mechanical HDD).
3) SSD running through USB 3.0 case.

I know these speeds are that high only in the beginning of the use, later it will drop and stay steady.

On the HDD, i'm running dual boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04.
I'll probably install and use ubuntu on it, since i'm not gaming anymore, and to program i find it better on linux.
But i'll install both OS just to check the speeds of the SSD.
Ubuntu 12.04 does support TRIM right?

Do you know a tool like HD Tune in linux? I wanted to compare speeds between NTFS and EXT4.

Well lucky me!
The Dell notebooks won't boot from an HDD placed on the DVD SATA Port.
I'll have to swap the mechanical HDD and the SSD.
