These apps are old.

Other than the audio track (wich can be converted separately, you can use AutoGordianKnot for converting (the audio track can be demuxed from inside MPC, converted in BeLight and muxed back using virtualdub into the sound-less AVI you just created.

AutoGordianKnot would best best for easy conversion, as it skips colorspace conversion (color accuracy takes a big hit when these are converted back and forth to RGB then YUY). As if also performs many compressability tests and takes best decisions/settings most are not familiar with or have the time to process, even moreso why advised.

BeSweet marks the initial delay for sound tracks as well, so that can help remux sound accurately (in case start/end silence was trimmed).

OK I got the avi (Wow that was neat thanks btw!) the problem is that I do not seem to know how to demux the audio with mpc plus I always thought that MPC and SMplayer are the same (My bad) guess they're not

In MPC, there's an internal utility for "converting to DSM" (DSM videos can be built there and streams demuxed. Yeah, not its main purpose).
Pretty neat, demuxes video/audio streams, subtitles, menus... (shouldve been made much more proeminent, with support of it added to virtualdub IMO).

Take the original ps2 video (that has sound), drag it onto the window, then right click on the audio stream to demux it to a location of your choice. MPC can decode the sound, obviously it could demux it then.

Visual aid (got Fatal Frame 2).

Oh I used FMVtool B05 and I can demux it now with MPC, I don't know but FMVtool2 streams didn't have that demux with MPC or probably I'm missing something

Anyways thanks a lot Hard core Rikki, you've been a really big help and GiGaHeRz for this awesome program!

edit:
Oh wait, when I demux with MPC, I get headerless raw waveform, I can't seem to convert it to mp3 by simply using BeLight

edit2:
I used fmvtoolb05 and use pssdemux and got a wav file than a raw, anyways thanks a lot again for helping me plus GiGaHeRz and the one behind pssdemux!

make sure you are using this version:
Gigaherz's FMVTool2 (yes, v2!)

since the old fmvtool requires even older plugins from pcsx2 0.9.1 or even older.
the download package should have some plugins included, and be ready to use.

Crow Blade (intro for now)
Memories - Prayer from the fallen hearts.

My weblog... not like if there was too much to read on it tho.
For anyone interested, there's a mirc script which converts "/me 's" into " * nickname's whatever" and adds a nice "/my" command.

Thank you very much. The program starts.
I tried Final Fantasy X(german) but the tool did not detect any stream. Then i tried "loosen search" option, but it detects only "invalid MPEG1 Streams". Any idea?

You won't find any video from FFX using this tool, the contents of the disk are either compressed or encrypted (or both), so it requires special tools aware of the encoding scheme of the game.

I too have been searching high and low on a way to get the FMV's from FF7 Doc with no luck. I have the US version. I have all the Final Fantasy FMV's now except Dirge of Cerberus and FF13. X, X-2, and XII all thanks to you guys at Emuforums.

Speaking of FF13. Has anyone attempted extracting the FMV's from that yet?
