I tried looking

I tried looking for the answer to this question on multiple threads you guys had links to but did not find anything. Even tried doing a search of the threads.

Got epsxe emulator and immediately started playing my games. when i first opened epsxe it popped up with wizard to configure, i skipped. I was able to play the games with no video plugin at all.(could not find anyone else reporting that.) About a week later windows decided to shut my video card off due to a code 43 error.(googled and fixed this, had to uninstall and reinstall drivers to fix.) I had been playing the game off and on all day, walk away for 30 minutes, come back and my video card is not working properly(code43 error stated above). Also epsxe decided to just now start complaining about not having a video plugin.

computer specs
pentium 4 2.8Ghz
nvidia geforce 8400 gs 512 vram
hdd 160 GB
1 Gb ram
running windows vista 32-bit

when i was playing with no plugin games were running smoothly and nice no lagging, skipping or any problems at all.

I fixed the video card problem and got the plugins(have tried multiple video plugins, even the one that is recommended for this game on the other thread.) But all of them skip and title screen does not load right.(though once i continue of memcard game seems to load right, it is just laggy.) I would like to be able to play the game without it lagging again but epsxe now wont work unless i have plugin and all plugins lag for me.(on fast and nice settings.)
Also tried configuring myself and still couldn't get it to run as smooth as before.
(during that first week with no video plugin it felt like it was just off the playstation with not even the tiniest bit of lag or problem.)

would like to play again with no lag pls help.

The "no plugin" you are mentioning is a built-in software GPU plugin.
You can switch to it with F7.

Old thread or not, I need an answer to this (I hope I won't get killed).

I think I have the same problem as OP, that's why I had to make an account, but the another problem is that the F-buttons aren't working the same way as usual on my laptop. Pressing F7 plays and pauses movies and I don't know how to change that. I guess it's common on HP's laptops. Any other ways to get back to use the build-in GPU plugin?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I've tried to use the Pete's OpenGL2 but it's glitchy, unlike the one I first was using, which was pretty much perfect. And now I can't use it anymore, hooray!

If your F7 is a play/pause control by default, then you must have another key that switches those function keys to actually work as F# keys. Check your manual, or take a nice look at your keyboard.

I have an HP laptop to, and I can say I have no problemo pressing the f# keys. There should be a fn button or something near the ctrl button. (Don't know if it's fn or ft or whatever, I'm too lazy to get up, nice bowl of cereal on my lap, my IPad in my hands, and the TV at my command.) Anyways, hold the button and press F7 just as ShendoXT mentioned.
