Hello! I'd like to know how can I edit the 'inis' files of Tomb Raider II and add new entries. There's some tracks that weren't added at the line "infinite loop track" and the ambient sounds aren't repeat properly. If somebody know how do it and upload to upadate this tool, it's the track 53, 54 and 55 that's missing. Waiting for replies. Thankful. |

Cannot locate epsxe_shark.ini 3- Run epsxe_shark Fine 4- Also - Cannot find any mention of what to do with the contents of folder SRC Where am I going wrong, guys? |

ePSXe_Shark has lost "-loadiso", at least under Win7_x64
I'm not sure if my information is relevant to your computers, but it probably is, since it concerns problems in launching games with ePSXeCutor_Shark, even when ePSXeCutor_Shark seems to work perfectly in all other respects, as does ePSXe_Shark (renamed to just "Shark") as long as it only has to launch games through a normal CD, or through a CDR plugin. That usage worked fine for me, but a problem struck whenever I wanted ePSXeCutor_Shark to launch the emulator with a "-loadiso" argument, so that each ePSXeCutor game entry can activate the correct ISO file for each game launch without any extra user interaction. This is the method I've always preferred for ePSXeCutor, long before trying Shark, and it has always worked fine before. But with ePSXeCutor_Shark it always failed, even though normal ePSXeCutor has no problem doing it on the same system with an identical setup. After some thinking about it I decided to pinpoint which EXE file is responsible, and as it turns out ePSXeCutor is innocent of any wrongdoing. It is instead Shark itself which has somehow killed the "-loadiso" argument usability of the patched emulator. At least it has for the kind of system I'm running it on, which is a 64-bit Win7 SP1 setup. (Results might differ on older systems, which could be why so few people have complained about it.) For my setup this fact was easily proven simply by using two small and nearly identical batch files to launch Shark and normal ePSXe respectively, using identical "-loadiso" arguments to specify the game disc image, which always resulted in success with normal ePSXe and failure with Shark. This exonerates ePSXeCutor_Shark from any responsibility, as it was not involved in these tests. Like I implied above, I suspect that this problem is specific to either Win7 or even just its 64-bit variant, which is why people with other setups may never have seen it. But for this kind of setup the problem is definite. I've made variations on those experiments several times now, and the result is consistently that the Shark-patched emulator has lost all ability to handle the "-loadiso" command-line argument correctly. I have no fix for that particular problem, and my only workaround consists of abandoning ePSXeCutor as Shark launching frontend (but still useful to manipulate some ePSXe registry settings). Instead I now do my PS1 game launching through a batch file for each game, that mounts the needed ISO file through 'Daemon-Tools' and then launches Shark with arguments specifying the memory card files to use and the -nogui argument, so that the emulator simpy uses the current CDR plugin, which I've preconfigured to be the internal one, with the 'Daemon-Tools' drive selected. This is a cumbersome method to do it, having to create new BAT files for each game, and edit the details for choice of ISO and memory cards into it, but fortunately that effort just happens once per game (or per change of its settings). Once these BATs are set up, they can be used as easily as a real frontend, launching each game just by double-clicking its BAT. I hope you find this post useful, or at least informative, despite its lack of any real cure for the problem at hand. Best regards: ra_dlanor |

There are tracks in tomb raider 2 that aren't looping properly, I tried changing the logic in the .ini file but it didn't work. 1 - In the main theme the music plays, when the song finishes playing, immediately should repeat, this is not happening. 2 - There are some sounds effects that isn't replaying, for example; in Offshore Rig and Diving Area, in the hanger effects. When the level Offshore Rig starts and Lara is raising up the sounds effects should've play immediately and loop when broken by secret chimes. (track 53) 3 - In Barkhang Monastery the sound effects 'monk chanting' isn't replaying properly, when the sound effects is broken by the secret chimes the game is silent and the sound effects won't loop. (track 54) 4 - When the level Temple of Xian starts, the sound effects of 'whispers' (track 55) isn't playing and replaying. Note: I noticed that these tracks weren't added to the inis files. (tracks 53, 54 and 55) If anyone can change the logic of that file and upload to download, add these tracks and fix these compatibility issues I thank you. |

I give up trying to get TR1 or TR2 music working. all i ever get is a loud screach that happens endlessly. i've tried enabling the hacks, ive tried disabling them. if i use 'run iso', i dont hear music or screaching. if i use mooby2 cd disk image driver 2.8 and enable cdaa, and click run CD, all i get is screaching. what gives? i've spent 2 days trying to get it to work but i either hear nothing but screaching, or no music at all

i downloaded my copy of the game because although i have a copy of TR2 on PS1, it's an original black label from launch day and the cd is scratched to the point where the music skips like crazy even on the original playstation (i was around 6 when it came out, and you know what little kids do to games!) i also have a copy for PC but i prefer playing the PS1 version because of the controller, and the graphics are slightly better, and finally the inventory screen moves around with a cool effect and the PC one just stands still |

You will not receive any support with downloaded games here. It's illegal and thus against our Rules. And whether your original is damaged or not doesn't matter.

That doesn't matter anymore. You will not receive any help with that game here because you admitted to downloading an illegal copy so whether you also have a legitimate copy is irrelevant.

I think it's funny. Even I have the original game and playing on the emulator I didn't get any response. The audio tracks have not resuming properly, simply by tracks are not added to the file. Someone could add these tracks to the shark? they were mentioned in the post above. While some tracks are not unpleasant resume, especially the main title track, when finished playing the game is silent.

Pardon my stupidity, but even after reading through the whole opening post, I STILL dont think I know EXACTLY what this program is (yes, I read all of it LOL). Anyway I was told to try this, as it would allow vibration to work on my "Saitek P3200 Rumble" pad, but other than that, what am I actually downloading lol? Sounds like a really dumb question, but I just want to make sure I know exactly what Im downloading, and I want to be able to make the most of it too, rather than just using it for the one thing I mentioned (nothing worse than buying an F22 Raptor and using it as a car LOL). Thanks! |
