Misadventures of Tron Bonne issue with Eternal 1.41!
Ok, so I tried playing MOTB on epsxe 1.7 with Pete's OpenGL2 and Eternal 1.41 and I am having a serious issue! Right after I start the game up and when Teisel is in the Nakkai Desert, right after he finishes talking the game won't proceed unless I press start (It should proceed on its own automatically)! Also, the "mission start" screen and the few times where dialogue is supposed to pop up throughout the level will not occur either (only when I press start it will skip it!). When I try to go to the menu screen it ends up a black screen and I can't get out of it, but I can still hear the music! I have come up with two solutions, but they both are 150% un-acceptable! One was to skip the intro dialogue completely and the stuff afterwards worked fine (no menu problems, other dialogue poped up fine), but I refuse to do that because then I miss out on the dialogue and who knows if it won't happen again later on in the game! The other was to use the epsxe sound core, but that is far inferior to Eternal! I tried everything! Lowering sound buffer, raising it, turning on all combinations of the SPU hacks, none of it works! Oh please, say it isn't so that Eternal is not compatible with MOTB! Please someody tell me they got this game to function properly with Eternal! EDIT: OK, apparently the skip the speech at the beginning issue didn't work as well as I thought! It still will not advance dialogue at other parts of the first level! EDIT2: Ok, I tried using the repaired PEOPS sound plugin, to see if that would fix the glitch and it did! However, no matter WHAT settings I use, the audio crackles, completely dies for about a second, or skips. Not really badly, but it is still there. Eternal does not have that issue, but it has the bug issue.... Sigh, Why does the compatibility list have it at 100% perfect? Somebody needs to take that list down. It is not fair to get people's hopes up that their favorite games work flawlessly, but then they go to play it only to find out that it doesn't work. Right now, that compatiblity list is useless, the person who made it either is just trying to troll people, or they played the game for about 10 seconds and just assumed that the rest of the game worked flawlessly... The game works with shalma's PEOpS spu builds. http://forums.ngemu.com/showthread.php?t=140191 Make sure you read the past posts on that thread first.

Hi, guys! I used to have several problems in this game, but I already got it fixed 100%! And it plays smoothly without any cut scenes, skipping dialogues, the menu works perfectly fine! I know this thread died in months. But, I do hope some people are still playing this wonderful game. ![]() All I did was I ran the .cue file instead of the .ccd one. I did not change any settings on my plugins or whatsoever. But, if you're curious in what settings I used, then here it is: Emulator used: ePSXe 1.7.0 Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.17 Resolution & Colors: Fullscreen mode: 800 x 600 Color depth: 16 Bit Window mode: off (320x240) Stretching: Stretch to full window size Dithering: No Framerate: Transparent FPS display: Off Show FPS display on startup: Off Use FPS limit: On Auto-detect FPS/Frame skipping limit: On Use Frame skipping: Off FPS limit (10-200): Off (200.0) Options: All options are off Click ok then go to Configure-Sound Plugin: Eternal SPU Plugin Lite 1.41 Sound enabled: check it! Well, I do hope this helps! I'm using Windows XP, by the way.
