Why isn't this working?

I just got the ePSXe 1.6.0 emulator and I got the first disc of Final Fantasy 7 ROM for it. When ever I try to play the game, I always get a warning message saying, "* Error in init aspi (227)". What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Use ePSXe 1.7.0 and use the run ISO command?

Should I look for all of the plugins for the emulator again?
