Max Payne 3

Turned everything up as high as it would go save for tesselation which was set to normal and MSAA set to 0 (don't really need it). I could have missed something, but the game takes around 900mb of video memory.

It's worth it though, the game is very very crisp, textures are slick, models are nicely detailed and it's buttery smooth, initially I wasn't sure how well the 560ti would handle the game, but it is sublime. Rockstar did well this time.

As time goes on I'll post more screens, but so far really liking how this game plays out.

Yeah. I reckon I'm gonna have to put this off till I get a new card as well...that and a bigger HDD.

Good to see they kept the HUD pretty much the same.

Also lol @ that Disco room shot, with all the purple it looks like it came from Saints Row instead.

Dunno if the game gets better later but the beginning of the game is boring. After playing it for about 10 minutes i pressed CTRL+ALT+DELETE to kicked out before i fall asleep. Graphics-wise is awesome tho.

Finished the game and had a real blast, the amount of work that went into details was really consistent throughout the entire story, quite the visual treat, and was magnificent to watch on my new monitor. Kind of bummed that my videocard ran out of memory by about 80mb to run shadows on high detail, but no matter, the game looks fabulous with the high res textures and some of the best character modeling of recent memory.

Can't wait to see GTA V.

Around 12-15 hours or so, you get so much story with this game it's fantastic. Then there's arcade mode to tackle.

Arcade consists of Score Attack, get points for doing various feats, like streak kills, kills while prone, that sort of thing, and New York Minute to finish levels in the shortest time possible, with things like headshots, explosions giving bonuses to your time. From this mode you get XP bonuses for multiplayer and bonus avatars or something.

You play the story but with an arcade style. The biggest issue with this mode is that like the regular story mode. you can't skip the cinematics as they are integral with loading the game and is one of the biggest complaints.

Oh that sucks. Would have been nice if it was like Splinter-cell Conviction's extra mode. Which basically just has you fighting people in the main areas of the game without any additional garnish. Fun just to kill 20 minutes or so.

I liked the survival mode from Max Payne 2 and wish they had something similar in this one.

The game is still great tho and I wish I had your monitor.

Yeah I feel the same, seeing the same clip over and over becomes old really fast and when going for that perfect run it can become a real drag having to wait so much.

Survival mode would be sweet, make it so Rockstar!
