Could have been borked by EU regs. Fanta for instance tastes VERY different in Germany and Austria than down here in SA. Over there it's much more like Lemonde with fizz and has a yellowy colour whereas here it's bright bright orange and has a really sharp taste. So it could be a similar restriction ruined Mountain Dew. Never tasted the stuff so I wouldn't know. I actually wish they had the cleaner Fanta here, it actually tastes much better so be thankful you don't have to deal with the full on orange stuff.

In the case of this ones i bet they were not borked by EU regs because those have german texts or other stuff. I bought this ones from Gamestop and they are imported directly from USA if i'm not mistaken also the text is fully in english. Still the taste is horrible and probably the worst soda based drink i've ever got in my hands which makes me wonder why in hell is that popular

Mountain Dew is WAAAAAY too sweet for me. My favourite carbonated softdrinks are Ramune (I grew up with it) and Italian carbonated juice. The rest are just Okay, and I don't really like something with too much coloring if I have a choice.

I love the "throwback" Mountain Dew with real sugar, the Baja Dew Taco Bell sells, and the Orange Mountain Dew.

I still like to drink real fruit juice or just water if I'm thirsty.

I've cut back on my soda drinking. I try to limit myself to one can a day. If I go to a restaurant, I often get tea. I do drink the Baja Blast at Taco Bell, but I visit it less than once a month. I know some of the Teas can have too much sugar, so I'm planning on taking some fake sugar with me when I go in the future and get unsweetened tea. I'm sure the health nuts will warn me that will kill me too eventually.

How is that a revelation? If you have no Soda in your house you can only drink it when you go out which you do far less than being at home and having to drink only what you have there.....

Ewww hardcover. Stuff like that is supposed to be soft-cover. I also have some hardcover Asterix books but I much prefer the softcover ones.

Bought a Samsung 40" LED 120hz Smart TV from Sears for $131 (original price $899) It had no base as it was a "display". They had a base for a LN40D630, which is an LCD but uses the exact same base so I took that. This TV's build date was September 2011, the last shipment of the D series 2011 models, so no way this was a display. It probably was a customer return, when Samsung dumped prices of the 6000 LED TV's and the 46" version was the same exact price. So you could return your 40" and get a 46" for a few days last year. The TV runs off an Intel processor, it's pretty fast, but nowhere near as fast as the 2012 ES models which run dual core ARM based processors. The 2012 ES8000 can be upgraded with a faster processor, possibly quad core, sold by Samsung. I have no idea where I will fit this. I could trade it for a 30", I don't know though. The PS3 looks twice as good on this rather than my Ultrasharp, the 120hz Automotion Plus makes the games look much more fluid.

Damn that monitor looks good. Makes your Ultrasharp look very 2nd rate (mostly since it appears to be much less bright). Also all this reminds me a lot of Gameman.

Anyway, that's a Hanns G, not the UltraSharp, you're seeing with the HDTV (not monitor). The UltraSharp is behind it. Quote:

The gift card was part of a deal BB is running this week on Vitas, so I used the $50 for the memory stick, and then I had some money left over, so I bought the two games. Mind you, this stuff was bought with one of those prepaid debit gift card things, so the actual cost to me was about 80 bucks total. So yeah, it was a great haul today.
