Unhappy Saga Frontiet: Problem with loading Saved States

I'm using an 8600GT nVidia graphics card, with an intel processor, what generation, but it's at least a 2.4 ghz quad core processor.

Now I'm using ePsxe 1.7.0 emulator with an actual Saga Frontier disc. At first it ran fine and loaded the saved states just fine. Now it's all screwed up and blacked out when they are loaded. This didn't happen until I change what CD Plugins I was using in order to make FFVI (from the anthology set) to run smoother. I've had no problems with it's saved states or the saved states on Final Fantasy Tactics. Mind you, I've been leaving the CD plugin alone at this point now and been trying to mess with the graphics settings and no matter what video plugin I've used, I'm ending up with the same end result.

I've even tried deleting the old saved states for Saga Frontier and that didn't fix the problem either. If someone has a solution to this problem that works, I'm all ears.

P.S. I've even tried using different bios' as well... and switching between the two I have isn't working either.
