With this config Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. GFX card: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series Resolution/Color: - 1280x1024 Window mode - Internal X resolution: 2 - Internal Y resolution: 2 - Keep psx aspect ratio: off - No render-to-texture: off - Filtering: 4 - Hi-Res textures: 0 - TexWin pixel shader: off - VRam size: 256 MBytes Framerate: - FPS limitation: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 2 - Framebuffer effects: 3 - Framebuffer uploads: 2 Misc: - Scanlines: off - Mdec filter: on - Screen filtering: on - Shader effects: 0/1 - Flicker-fix border size: 0 - GF4/XP crash fix: off - Game fixes: on [00000002] When i hit F4 to turn of framelimit to skip. Its very very slow. Actually same speed as game. This happens during battles, and its about double when exploring. If i use the other GL plugin i cannot get battle swirl and it doesnt seem to look as good either. D3D has issues going into battle too. I thought i had this thing working but not its so slow.

I have tried everything that you said. Why am I still lagging? I can't play FFIX properly. Help! I've tried the "Fast" configuration. It works but I am having a problem during battles. Help please!

Here are the settings as you can see from the picture, I use Pete's OGL2. The problem as you can see in the picture is clear - the graphics are BAD, nothing stands still and they keep moving. I mean, from the third picture you can see that Zidanes nose is lifted up, and afterwards it goes down. Its like that, it changes every seconds. The nose was just ONE example! The head also moves up and down all the time, the Moogles head sometimes expand a bit then goes back to normal and that old guy in the picture, his nose stretches longer and goes back to normal like everything I've said up until now. Basically, everything moves by itself and I expect the graphics to be just graphics, not living things who are high on sugar. The second problem is as you can see in the first two pictures - when you look at Zidane (and everyone else for that matter) from a short/long distance, is that they look really BAD. I mean, look at Zidanes face, it looks like he's got an classic moustache or something! Trust me, in serious times of the game, I couldn't take those times serious when looking at that kind of bad graphic, it's like an insult to the game lol. The settings are from the link: my best config, OGL2, FF9 - Emuforums.com I also tried the one here too and it made no difference whatsoever: http://forums.ngemu.com/psx-plugin-q...-enhanced.html I dont know what's wrong, seriously. I also tried the "Nice" option, only makes it worse that one. "Fast" doesn't help much either. All I ask for is for the graphic to just "stay still" and stop moving - is that possible? And for the people who want's to know - yes I DO LEGALLY OWN THE GAME, I bought it from the PSN network, so no need to pull that one off. The game is NTSC-U format! As for the pictures, here they are - copy them and paste them on Paint to have a clearer view of it: ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting (Game pictures) ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting (Settings) Last edited by mo0nwalker; July 11th, 2011 at 16:03.. |

Hi All, So, I'm using the same configuration (more or less actually) from hushypushy... Everything works fine...except in worldmap, the fps drops from 60 to 30-something... Here's my configuration : Plugin: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 Author: Pete Bernert Card vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. GFX card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series Resolution/Color: - 640x480 Window mode - Internal X resolution: 2 - Internal Y resolution: 3 - Keep psx aspect ratio: - No render-to-texture: € - Filtering: 0 - Hi-Res textures: 0 - TexWin pixel shader: on - VRam size: 512 MBytes Framerate: - FPS limitation: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Compatibility: - Offscreen drawing: 1 - Framebuffer effects: 3 - Framebuffer uploads: 1 Misc: - Scanlines: off - Mdec filter: on - Screen filtering: on - Shader effects: 0/1 - Flicker-fix border size: 1 - GF4/XP crash fix: off - Game fixes: off [00000000] Is there anything I can do to fix it? |

What do you recommend if someone have an LCD-screen? With my current settings the screen is really small, can't get fullscreen to work.

What is the native resolution of your screen? What fullscreen resolution have you set in the plugin? What are your PC specs (CPU, GPU, etc)?

@Speder. get a copy of Entechs power strip http://entechtaiwan.com/util/ps.shtm it will let you input custom resolutions into your Computer E-DID which is EXTREMELY helpful You want to multiply the games native resolution over 640x480 since lcds/led/oled/eoled/plasma cant do standard resolutions ( anything under 640x480), For instance Castlevania Symphony of the nights in game is 256x240 the first title screen is 700 horizontal 224 vertical or around that, so your going to want to make a multiple of the in game higher than all the other resolutions displayed by menus/title screens/etc to avoid distortion. so lets take 256x240x3=768x720, so 768x720 is you best bet. you want to avoid to much stretching with 2d because the color gradients can change dramatically and cause blurriness though 3d depending on game looks much better at 640x480 or higher because the textures are shrunk on the psx. here is an example i made of 2d scaling and stretching. http://i47.tinypic.com/oqauxw.png you may also want to look into monitor calibration there is a software called atrise Lutcurve http://atrise.com/lutcurve/ it completely calibrates whites/blacks/gamma/color correction/points, 99.9% of monitors are uncalibrated and use the Whiter than white theory(wtf is whiter than white?) to blur all the in-corrections for instance in my sig i thought orange was yellow till i calibrated it, calibrating makes a world of difference. you can also get a colormunki http://www.xrite.com/product_overview.aspx?ID=1513 its the hardware version and easier to use and is referred by Sony for there DE fact o broadcast Production Monitors (some are $26,000) http://www.sony.co.uk/biz/product/bvm but with a $450 price tag. As for a plugin i would use gpubladesoft 1.41 (edgbla's Software Rendering Plugin) http://emu-russia.net/en/files/plugins/psx/ found over at emuRussia it has the best most accurate color palette Ive seen, all the shaders and filters, and most accurate geometry, it even offers progressive video mode by turning of dfe emulation(psx uses interlaced, its so advanced it can change native resolutions to proper each time the display changes only 1 other emulator does this (FBA) just remember to multiply the internal resolution properly depending on the resolution used. and install is simple extract the folder in the main emulators folder though you may need extra gtk files. i hope this helps.
