This is my first post to the site.

I've actually had the same problem as Copjones1994 with trying to open the exe files for the converters. A command line window appears for split second and disappears. I've tried opening the program through the command line too, both as the basic user and as the administrator, and the same thing happens. A second command line window appears and instantly disappears. Any ideas?

What about protected save files such as Medal of Honor: Frontline, F-Zero GX, Pokemon Coloseum, & Fire Emblem?

Tried converting from .sav to .gci and was told

"Not a valid GCI save file"
"Error occurred during conversion process"

Do both mdsc and the sav file have to be in the same directory? Mine was, just clarifying as some setup steps are not mentioned.

Please let me know what went wrong or what I did wrong?

You must use the Command Prompt, Command Line or CMD. Use this ( http://www.sophos.com/support/knowle...cle/13195.html ) to better learn how to operate through CMD. It is very simple once you learn the basics. Enjoy.

Get .gci file:
- if ur file is .gcs, convert it to gci with gcs-gci converter: just put gcs file in save folder and run convert_gcs_to_gci.bat
- if ur file is .sav, convert it to gci with sav-gci converter (read info file for how to use).
- U can also convert regions of save file (.gci) with gc_us-palsave_convert

When u have .gci save file with right region, just use Memcardmerge103b: load dolphin .raw save file, load .gci file, and build new dolphin .raw save file. Finally, open dolphin save file manager, open new .raw save file and click Fix Checksum. Finish.

Soooooooo... I wanted to convert a save file to pass data to FE: Radiant Dawn and I stumbled across this thingamabober and figured id give it a try. I think ive correctly created a .gci file and I went thru and did the merger only to later find that one version is US and one is PAL so I tried to open the converter and it told me: "Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependancies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid", so basically it errors and wont even open.....help? Seeing as no one has appearently complained about this im not sure where the problem lies.

I'm trying to follow the instructions to convert a .gci file for custom robo battle arena using the aforementioned tools, following said instructions to a tee, though I will admit i'm a novice yet. It's one from http://www.gamefaqs.com/gamecube/914...tom-robo/saves and it's driving me nuts, as i'm trying to use the info to add to the custom robopedia wikia article. If the fricking cheats I have worked I wouldn't have to ask, but I've only found one webpage with AR Codes, and even though it says they're 'loaded' on the startup sequence, they fail to actually work. I've gotten this actually accomplished ONCE, on my linux partition, but I don't remember what I did. My point is ANY help in either of these topics would be heavily appreciated. Much thanx,
Necraghost.

Btw, the iso version says it's USA in oRaR format, but i'm not sure if this would affect what I'm trying to do or not.
Also, I'm aware of how to add them in manually, but again, they simply refuse to work, and I get the classic master code error when it's used.
Is it due to Dolphin simply not supporting this function, because I have the 'use cheats' check box ticked and everything, just so I don't leave anything out. Either way, save state or otherwise, help would be heavily appreciated. Sorry if I'm slightly off-topic, but I'm running out of options.

I think there's an operating system incompatibility problem with the bats. The commands are either outdated or no longer supported for new windows OS

For the GCS to GCI, Place the .gcs file in the saves folder, which is inside the folder containing the following files:

XVI32U.cnt
XVI32.ini (open XVI32.exe then close it for the .ini file to appear)
XVI32.exe
WINEBCUS.XCT
WINEBCDE.XCT
WINDOS.XCT
EBCUSWIN.XCT
EBCDEWIN.XCT
DOSWIN.XCT
command.xcs
Convert_gcs_to_gci.bat
SAVES (Folder) vvv
>>> .gcs files go in here.

double/single click the bat file, it will run, and a .gci file will appear inplace of the .gcs file in the Saves folder.

Tested on Windows 7.
