[Rumor] PS4 datasheet leaked

A German console website called PlayNation apparently have leaked documentation supposedly from Sony, here is a quote from said website:

Even prior to the times in the past called “Orbis” has been rumored as a code name for what Sony’s newest secret weapon, the PlayStation 4 is valid. Now an alleged data has emerged, which includes the development and launch date. Thus comes the next generation console during the 4th Quarter of 2013 in the trade. Furthermore, it is stated that the PS4 more than 10 GB and 10 GB of working memory has video and thus can have a respectable power. If that was not enough, a 2D 3840×2160 pixel resolution comes with the application, while 3D games, in full 1080p resolution, flicker across the screen.

It is noteworthy that PlayStation and PlayStation 2 and PS3 games on the PlayStation 4 are functional. The connection to the Vita and a new service called “Iris”, lists the data sheet. What do you think? Sony will let the cat during the upcoming E3 out of the bag?

I bet the 10GB will be cut to at least the half before is released and BC will dissapear after a the first revision.... hype makers i tell ya

Is something like that even economically feasible? That looks like it'd cost too much, and if you price it too high, nobody will buy it. Now that they are going into this generation with the economy the way it is (they got lucky last time and it took a while for the side effects of the economy to impact the gaming industry), they'll surely have learned from that mistake, no? I'm calling it fake. It's nice and sound to say "we're making something super powerful to be future proof" to make it believable, but I doubt all of that is economically feasible (and future proofing isn't entirely possible, per se, even if it's used for ten years), and that's sort of a big indicator that I doubt this is what you'll see.

To be honest, it wouldn't be trolling to say that. The chances of full backwards compatibility with PSX / 2 / 3 are so slim that it's impossible to take those specs as real~.

The specs alone give away that someone with wild imagination came up with the "leak". You don't need the backwards compatibility line to conclude that it's all nonsense.

The only thing missing from the specs is the pico nuclear reactor.

Yeah, the ps4 is going to have a gtx 690 on it ...a $1,000 video card that requires cooling half the size of a ps3.
Oh yeah, it's also going to be at 2ghz, twice the speed of the actual 690 and a world record for that card by a clear 400mhz with a bottle of liquid helium.

It'll also have xdr2 because rumours copy other rumours and xdr2 has been in the press recently (from a false rumour of the 7970)

This is the fakest crap I have ever seen.

Who needs to spend tenths of thousands of dollars to get a 4P server with octa-core processors and overpriced video processors while the PS4 is gonna have 128SPEs for about 600$?

I say we all wait until Sony makes it happen and sue them for losses of billions of dollars if they don't. Sorta like how the industry fills lawsuits when people violate the DMCA act. There must be a related law or something.

Full BC with ps2 is definitely possible next gen(through emulation, if they want to).......but 10 gigs of ram......for what reason? Definitely fake specs.

I shall not even entertain the rest of the specs.

There is no money to be made from emulating old titles, wether ones you already own or ones you buy (cheap) from PSN, compared to selling "HD remakes" fullpriced.

Don't forget they will need to remove the mem card slots on the first revision as well
