Moving saves from one computer to another
Hey all, was hoping to get some help. I don't know if I'm just missing something really obvious, but here is my problem: I've been playing some games using epsxe on my laptop while I was out of town. Now that I am back home I would like to move the saves from those games to my desktop. The problem is that when I copy the epsxe folder, including memcards and savestates, onto my desktop, the save data doesn't show up once it gets to my desktop. The memory cards show up as empty, and the save states are nonexistent. I even tried copying and pasting the memcard files somewhere else on the laptop (same computer) and setting epsxe to use those copied files, and those files show up as blank too. Is there any way to move them without losing the save data? Thanks! |

hmmm not sure I followed this correctly but you said you moved your epsxe folder to your new computer? ePSXe uses the registry of your computer for a lot of things. If you just move the folder it is still set up from your laptop and not your new computer. Anyway my advice is to put your memory card saves (the .mcr files) into a seperate folder. download and reinstall ePSXe on your new computer. Then move your memory cards over that way everything is all set up. |

If you transfer your epsxe to another computer all you have to do to return the memory card saves are as follows. 1. after you transfer the emulator including the memory card files and other folders to another computer first open up the emu 2. once you open up the emu, go to config 3. then select MEMORY CARD 4. then select the memory card you're previously using from your previous machine in the memory card slot directory 5. After that you're all set Since moving the emulator from one computer to another, the emulator detects the computer's registry from which destination you set the emulator up, to recover memory card saves if you're transferring it to another computer, basically you'll have to reconfigure the emulator again |

Try moving each file individually.
