So what's going on with the DLC to Street Fighter vs Tekken?

I don't see DLC to it on Steam, and I thought Steam games had to be able to buy the DLC on Steam? I also thought the DLC was actually in the data? So what's going on? Is there extra DLC to Street Fighter vs Tekken, how much is it, and how is it acquired?

I'm holding off buying it, but with the EA fiasco on Steam it has me curious.

Unlocking is witheld till fall or release on Vita, whichever comes later.
For appearances' sake, the content was supposedly 'properly' cut from the PC download and this point insisted upon.

DON'T TOUCH IT UNTIL THEY RELEASE THE FIRST PATCH.
ITS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO ENJOY ONLINE DUE TO SOME MAJOR BUGS.

So far NO DLC has been released and the release we got was the broken console launch version. (Major online bugs)

The DLC is NOT on the disc as it was removed due to the anger it caused with the console release. (Also only a couple of future release will still have on-disc DLC as Capcom is finally shying away from it due to the bad press)

Also if you can get access to the retail disc you can play offline now (the only way it can be enjoyed right now) as there is zero DRM in the game. (Just enter anything as a key and let M$ reject the key) and you can even save your progress.

As for the fact the game is UNPLAYABLE ONLINE right now, that should will be fixed in the next 2 weeks

Over on the Ask Capcom forums a user named DarkSamus asked for an updated on Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012's patch 1.07 for the PC.

Christian Svensson jumped in and gave us an update for both Street Fighter X Tekken and SSF4 AE v2012 patches for the PC. Here's what he had to say.

For clarity, the team in Japan won't send the PC team patch data until after it's propped on the console to ensure it's working as intended on those platforms before working it into the PC SKU. That's part of the reason why there's a gap.
I am playing using a retail install OFFLINE as I refuse to give Capcom my money for a broken game until they fix it.

Try my Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6 or Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Playstation button mods!
As far as handhelds go, well, I get the Nintendo one.
Because I'm not an idiot.

Well Pacman and fat Megaman are said to be exclusive to PS3. Wether they will be made available for PC is uncertain.

Even though the xbox360 disc includes those characters (and they can supposedly be played with hacks), staff said they will never be unlocked or even sold for the xbox edition.

Its also confirmed that PC will also never get them.

Sorry, no, but they are exclusive to the PS3 and Vita versions of the game. There are no plans to bring them to X360 or PC at any time. Sorry.
Also, in the next couple of weeks expect most of the DLC to appear in the marketplace finally...

"The DLC characters will be in the second batch of DLC. The only thing that prevented them from being in the batch currently in submission was CJ waffling about the date until recently. So now, we're hoping to submit middle of next month, with release in early September."

So probably something like 5-6 weeks seperating the two unfortunately.
The first batch of DLC is currently in M$'s hands awaiting release in the next week or so.
The second batch of DLC should arrive early September.

Street Fighter X Tekken will be a stigma that will haunt Capcom for years to come; it's unfortunate they don't realize how much they are screwing their relationships with the user base because outside of huge flops like this, some of their games are still true AAA stuff~.
