Cant save in epsxe emulator.

Hello.
I just downloaded PSX emulator to play my favorite games(tenchu 1 & 2) but it looks like that i cant save.In the game it saves normally but when i quit the emulator it looks like my saves are gone.I have tried save state too and nothing seems to work.I've read some ways to fix it here but i dont get them.I am not good in pc things:/.they say something for paths but i dont get it...
Plz someone help me.
In case you need these details:
I 've made a Folder with the name tenchu with 2 folders in it(one for each game) and i've made another folder with the name Playstation 1 and it has the emulator in it.
Plzz someone help me.
