How do I downgrade/upgrade my ps3

As for downgrade, dunno as I've never tried. It depends on you current FW as some are not downgradeable.

3.55 and below u can downgrade in software, past those firmwares you need to get a hardware downgrader like progskeet or E3 Flasher but you would need to fully take apart the ps3 to install it

I don't have a screwdriver to do it.

my f/w is 3.7 so downgrade wont be possible via software i guess

as per the upgrade, I just want to do that to login to PSN and download some games or demos

You do understand that the demos you wanna download are larger then the update needed correct? Meaning why cant you spend the little amount of time it would take to download the update since you are already going to wait a lot longer for a demo to download?
